Chapter 10

I opened the door slowly, not wanting to wake Alex if he is asleep.

I mean, it's eleven forty give. Maybe he is asleep. If he is, I will talk with him tomorrow.

The room was dim as I closed the door slowly behind me.

And Alex was there in bed, covered with a light blanket.

I stared with a sad expression on my face. What will I even tell him? I don't know.

I slowly pulled off my shoes, put my jacket jeans quietly in my dresser and got my pajamas. I started changing, my eyes on Alex on fear he would wake up.

I laid on bed when I finished changing and pulled up my hair in a bun.

I stared at the ceiling as I laid there in silence.

"I like you," I whispered as I continued staring at the ceiling.

"I really like you. I am so sorry for declining you when you asked me. I am so sorry for being a fool. Yes, I like Kelvin. But I like you more. And today I left him and came to you. I told him that I like you more. I wish- I wish that maybe you could give another chance. I would be so grateful. Because I really like you. And I am so happy that you and I got paired to be roommates together. I couldn't ask for another one. As I like you. I like you, Alex. I like the roommate."

I finished my convincing whispers as I still continued staring at the ceiling.

"You aren't a fool, Jess."

I turned around only to find Alex wide awake as he stared at me.

"I- I am sorry to wake you."

"I wasn't sleeping." He smiled. His face indeed didn't look asleep.

"You- you didn't see me change, did you?" I asked, feeling nervous.

"You are lucky I controlled myself. I really wanted to watch the show." He chuckled.

"Shut up." I grinned, and he grinned back in the dim. novelbin

"And yes. I am so happy that you and I got paired to be roommates together. I couldn't ask for another one. As I like you too. I like you, Jess. I like the roommate." Alex said my exact words as he smiled softly at me.

"Really?"

"Yes, and if you don't mind. I want to go out with you on a date." He said.

"Absolutely yes!" I said excitedly.

"And Jess?"

"Yes?"

"Thanks for leaving Kelvin for Me."

"I like you more," I shrugged.

"It pleasures me to hear." He said, sounding like a gentleman. Which actually, he kinda is.

"So, date next week?" He asked.

"I can't wait!" I answered cheerfully.

He chuckled and stood up, revealing a bare chest as he walked towards me in only black pajama trousers.

I stared at his beautiful muscled chest as he stood in front of me.

"I just want to sleep next to you." He said as he scratched the back of his neck.

I smiled and moved on the bed, leaving him a space.

He got in and pulled me closer to him as he put his arm around my waist.

Seriously, I don't know how to describe how safe and loved I felt right now.

"Goodnight, Jess." He whispered as he kissed the top of my head.

"Goodnight, Alex."
