Love The Roommate

Chapter 13

"So, tell me a little more about yourself." I said as I put the menu down.

We were in quite a fancy restaurant. Really fancy, I may add. But Alex dismissed it when I asked. The waiter had come and took our orders already. And now we were left to occupy our time until the food arrives. novelbin

"There is nothing really to say." Alex shrugged.

"Oh, no, mister. You always say that when I ask." I shook my head.

"Because there is nothing, really."

"Come on, anything." I pouted at him.

He stared at me for a second then sighed, "How an I going to say no to such face. Fine."

I grinned as he chuckled at my enthusiasm.

"Okay. Uhm... Well, my parents. They are always busy with work that they almost forget about their son. I rarely do see them or even call them. I think it's better like that." I shifted uncomfortably. Why did I have to ask?! Alex clearly dislike them.

"But as for my sister, she is amazing! I love her so much. I am older than her by one year. Sometimes she annoys me like hell. But she is still amazing. We talk everyday, even if it's for five minutes." Alex had a huge smile on his face that made me smile as well.

"That's nice." I smiled softly at him. He stared at me for a few seconds, smiling as well.

"What about you?" He asked.

"There isn't much."

I didn't realize the irony of this until Alex raised his eyebrow at me. He had said the exact words.

"Okay, okay. My dad works as a manager of the Celei studios." Alex stared at me with surprise.

Celei studios are ones that deals with directing movies and music. These kind of things. A lot of the world's stars love dealing with it.

"He earned the office from my grandparents when they died. My mother... She died when I was ten."

"I am so sorry, Jess. I didn't know." Alex put his on mine on the table. I smiled sadly, "It's okay. It was a long time ago."

"Anyway, my older brother Alec, finished college two years ago. He got in a band with his friends. He asked dad if he could help him to become bigger with the songs and this kind of life. Dad helped him pretty well. And now the band is traveling constantly all the time. Doing tours and producing new things here and there. It's amazing."

"What's the band's name?" Alec asked, smiling at the grin I had on my face while talking about Alec.

"More. The More band." I grinned even more when Alex exlaimed. "More?! You have got to be kidding me! That's my favorite band ever! Their music is amazing!"

"You have to let me meet your brother one day!" Alex grinned.

But the thought made me a little nervous.

Dad and Alec don't know that I have a boy as a roommate.

"Oh, you still didn't tell them." Alex face dropped as he realized my thoughts.

"I will... Tell them soon." I smiled a little.

"Yeah, I hope they take it okay." He smiled back.

After that we went with small topics as the food arrived and we ate peacefully.

The food was amazing, by the way!
