Chapter 1 

"Honey, please, don't abort this child. I beg you, please..."

Cherry was in the hospital.She knelt on the cold ground and grabbed the comer of the man's clothes so tightly that her knuckles turned white.But he looked indifferent.

"Cherry." Charles lowered his eyes and looked at her pale face in disgust.

"No. you have to end the pregnancy."

She shuddered violently and felt that he was so strange to her as if she had met him for the first time.

"Cherry, when we have a baby of our own, I will let it become the happiest angel in the world."

She didn't forget his promise, but now he stood in front of her ruthlessly and forced her to kill the unborn baby.

"Charles!"

She broke down and shouted, "This is your own child.How can you be so cruel?"

"Mine?"

Cherry almost cried her heart out but Charles seemed to be amused by her words. He grabbed her chin and looked grim.

"How dare you say that? I never slept with you, let alone have a baby."

Shocked, she had a paler face.

"What are you talking about?" Her voice trembled uncontrollably.

'"We did sleep together on our wedding day. How can you deny it and the baby?"

"On the wedding day?"

He was indignant enough to crush her chin by the hand.

"I went to work as soon as the ceremony was over. How could I get you pregnant?"

The last trace of color faded on her face.

"Wait!"

She began to see the point and asked in a trembling voice.

"You mean you didn't sleep in the hotel that night. Then who was..."

"Ask yourself!"

Charles threw her aside resentfully.

"How dare you to ask me, you shameless?"

She fell to the ground in desolation, her hands and feet cold.

The memory of the wedding day flooded in her mind.

Perhaps because she had drunk too much or she had been sick, she went back to the hotel honeymoon suite to rest before the ceremony was over.

That night she shared with the man what she treasured the most.

But now Charles told her that it wasn't him.

Her mind went blank.

Before she could accept the shocking news, Charles commanded the nurses next to her, "You! Drag her into the operating room and abort her child!"

When the nurses and doctor heaved her up, she struggled violently to free herself.

"No...Charles, please, please forgive my baby! Though it came by accident, it did nothing wrong!"

At least it was her baby.

She was not cool- blooded enough to let it be at the mercy of others.

Cherry resisted with all her strength, but her failure was doomed.

They carried her onto the operating table and turned on the light that almost blinded her eyes.

The doctor brought the instrument over expressionlessly.

"No...Please don't..."

She was pinned down, unable to move, and could only sob and beg.

Bang!

The door was kicked open, and a few bodyguards in black rushed in and quickly grasped the doctor and nurses.

"Who are you?"

Frightened, the doctor shouted.

"Without the license, you are not allowed in!"

But the bodyguards did not answer.

They sealed the doctor and nurses' mouths and stood in two rows on both sides of the door in order.

In the dead silence, a man showed up in the corridor, walking slowly towards them.

Tall and straight, he looked elegant and wore an indifferent air.

When he arrived at the operating room, the light fell on his face.

It was a good-looking but cool face.
