Chapter 5 

All Cherry wanted was an answer, but her words sounded harsh to Mr.and Mrs.Quigley.

"Knock it off!"

Mr.Quigley stood up, the trace of guilt in his eyes was replaced with anger and impatience.

"Had you not shamelessly seduced Charles, you could never have become Junior Mrs.Laris.Now we're just asking you to return what you have taken away from your sister.Is there a problem with this?"

Hearing how her father had said those ridiculous words with the assumption that justice was on his side, Cherry's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Seduce? Charles and I got married because we're in love.When did I seduce him?"

"When did you seduce him?"

Mr.Quigley was exasperated.

''You've been sticking to Charles like glue since you was a child! Otherwise, how could Charles have fallen for a low-born adopted daughter like you? Let me tell you, I regret having adopted you! If it weren't for you, Nora would have married into the Laris family!"

Cherry looked at her father's angry face and bit back the words she would like to have said.

There was no need to retort.

No matter what she said, her parents would just ignore it.

She looked down at the healthcare products on the ground.

There were five or six large bags filled with soothing ointments for her mother and nutritional supplements for her father, all of which were carefully selected in the drugstore.

But now, she found it ironic.

No matter how filial she was, in the eyes of her parents, she would never compare to Nora, their biological daughter.

She forced herself to blink back her tears.

"Dad.mom, you don't have to feel regretful."

She put on a straight face, maintaining her dignity.

'"We all know that you only adopted me because I have the same blood type as Nora."

In fact, she had long known that her parents considered her as Nora's blood bank, rather than as their child.

However, she couldn't help but hope that if she became more obedient, they would treat her better.

Only now did she know how naive she was.

To them, adopted kids could never compare to natural ones.

With that, she did not have the courage to look at her parents again, so she ran away.

Mrs.Quigley turned to her husband anxiously.

"What should we do? Cherry has found out the truth about her wedding day.Do you think she will tell Charles?"

"Whatever!"

Mr.Quigley was still furious.

"What is done can't be undone.She did sleep with another man and now she is pregnant.On any account, she can't deny this."

"But what if Charles believes that she was framed? It'll stultify our efforts."

Mr.Quigley paced up and down in agitation, but her husband seemed calm.

He immediately took out his cell phone, dialed Nora's number, and told her everything.

"Well, that's it.Cherry might know what we have done.I think she'll go to Charles soon.Nora, you'd better be prepared."

After that, Mr.Quigley breathed a sigh of relief and hung up the phone.

"Okay, don't worry."

He hugged his wife.

"Nora will figure this out.Besides..."

There was an evil gleam in his eye as he spoke.

"As long as Charles thinks that Nora donated that kidney to him, she'll always be his responsibility."

Mr.Quigley trembled slightly.

But soon, she leaned her forehead tenderly against his chest and nodded, "We must never let Charles know that Cherry was the one who donated the kidney."

[In a private room of an exclusive club] Nora hung up the phone, her pretty little face slightly twisted with fury.

Good for you, Cherry! Cherry was carrying another man's baby, how dare she still try to steal Charles from her! Unconsciously tightening her fists, Nora suddenly thought of something, and an evil smirk lifted a corner of her red Lips.

"Cherry, you want a problem? I'll give you a problem!"

Thinking of this, she wrapped her arms around Charles' waist and said softly, "Charles, Cherry just sent me a message."

Charles paused, then said coldly, Why did you tell me this?"

"Because I think she might have wanted to send the video to another person instead of me..."

Nora pretended to be scared and hesitated.

"I don't know ifT should tell you..."

Charles clenched his glass.

"What did she send you?"

"She, she...She..."

Cherry blushed and didn't finish her sentence for a long time.

In the end, Charles lost his patience and grabbed the phone from her hand.

There was a video on the screen.

Charles froze when he saw its contents.
