Lumma screamed inwardly, “I’m doomed.”

She usually didn’t take her personal phone with her during working hours. She put the phone in her pocket just now, thinking she was getting off work soon. How could her phone ring at this moment?

Lumma held her breath nervously and muted her phone secretly.

However, she took a glance at her phone and found that the message was from her husband who disappeared after getting married.

However, Lumma didn’t dare to take a closer look. She turned off the screen of her phone and quietly stood on the side without making a sound.

Lumma and Leonard said yes and fled the CEO’s office as quickly as possible.

Lumma stayed in the office longer than expected because of Adam, so she didn’t have time to look at her personal mobile phone and took a taxi straight to the airport.

Ruby clicked her tongue and said, “Worm, why do you suddenly defend your boss? Did anything happen between the two of you?”

When Harry heard it, he got near Lumma with Ruby and sniffed her like a puppy.

Lumma moved back and dodged. “Ruby, Harry, what are you doing?”

Ruby said, “Let’s see if you have the scent of a man.”

Harry said, “There’s no scent of men. She smells of medicine.”

It was only then did they notice Lumma’s burns on the place from her ear to her neck.

Ruby immediately got serious. “What happened? Did anyone bully you?”

Harry was fuming with anger. “Which bastard hurt you? I’ll kill him!”

Lumma was touched by their concern. She smiled, “You don’t need to do anything. I’ve put him in

jail.”

Knowing that they wanted to know about everything, Lumma took the initiative to tell them what happened today.

After hearing this, the two of them had a better opinion of Lumma’s cruel boss.

They didn’t say anything to console Lumma. They each held her hand and gave her their support.

“Cutie, you’ve got a new message.”

When Lumma received the notification from her phone, she took it out.

There were more than a dozen missed calls from an unknown number.

And there were two unread text messages.

The first one was sent more than half an hour ago. “I’m Lucas Bergman, the man who married you

a year ago. Come out and meet me now. Let’s talk about our divorce.”
