Mates But Enemies

Chapter 39: Not Human.

She walked out of the hut and sighed loudly then she looked back at the hut once again and walked to

her car far away from the hut.

She sat in the car and tears started dripping out of her eyes, she cried for awhile and took a bottle from

her bag.

She looked at it and said,

“So this is the end of me living as a human, how am I going to live my family like this?”

She sighed and drove away. A few hours later, she arrived at her house and made her way to her room novelbin

not forgetting to put on her spectacle and looking down as she walked.

She bumped into a person to reveal Nadia, she looked at her and she did back. Then she held her

hand and whispered,

“Don't tell me what I am seeing is true mom. You can't tell me you are no human. ”

She shrugged her hand from hers and walked ahead ignoring her. Nadia looked back at her till she

disappeared in front of her eyes.

Then she made her way to her father once again in curiosity, but as she opened the door she heard her

father talking to her sister, she wanted to hear what they were discussing so she hid her scent from

them.

“Mia, you will have to understand that I don't know what is going on with your mother. She's definitely

human, because I have never felt any spirit in her apart from the human spirit. ” Said my father strongly.

Then she retorted,

“No I don't believe any of you, I have being in this house and even though you haven't being

recognizing me, I have being watching all of you. The last time when I went to her room to greet her for

the morning, there was an old woman sleeping on her bed. I was coming out to come and call

everyone but I looked back to see mom on the bed. ”

My father then said,

“If I tell you I know what you are instigating, then I would be a liar. I've known your mother since we

were young and have never seen any abnormal thing about her. ”

She heard her walk to the door and held the handle then she looked back at my father and asked,

“What about my sister and her son? None of you is normal and I know it, if you are going to lie to me

then go ahead but don't think you can fool me. ”

She thought she needed to disappear before she saw me, so as soon as she opened the door, I

disappeared into the office.

she stared at my father furious as he had his head in his hands as he thought. Then she asked,

“Why did you lie to us? You know mom is no human, who is she? ”

He looked back at her with bloodshot eyes and shook his head then said,

“I am sorry honey but I don't have answers to your questions. As I always thought your mother to be

human. If you are asking me this then I believe you have seen something. Now it's left with your mother

to tell us who she is and why we are now knowing that she's not human. ”

The man looked up to the person he was speaking to find no one, she had disappeared from his

presence. He shook his head and then disappeared too.

He entered his marital bedroom to see Nadia facing off her mother.

The woman they knew to be too beautiful for her age now stood in front of them with scales on her face

and hands. She bowed her head and said,

“I am one of you, but of different genes, I was a mermaid. And you were a genasi, I saw you every time

you came to the sea and fell in love with you. But you were later driven from it so I couldn't see you

anymore so I had to do something about it. So I visited a witch doctor and told her about my problem.

So she gave me a concoction that would make me human. So now you know but its also my last

moments. ”

They looked at her marveled and stared at each other speechless. But then she added,

“Nadia, you are not my child but Mia is. ”

Then they both shouted together astonished,
