Chapter 11: Demand an Exorbitant Price 

In the evening, Alice got the news and brought her eldest daughter-in-law, Lily, to the hospital.

When Alice saw Rebecca lying on the bed with a pale face, she immediately rushed over and cried her heart out.

"My poor Rebecca, why did you suffer this again? I'm so worried about you."

"Rebecca, it's me, Lily.Open your eyes and look at me."

Lily who was pregnant, sat down beside the bed and shook Rebecca's hand violently.

Arthur took a cold glance at Alice and Lily who were acting nice people and turned around to leave.

Alice rushed over and stood in Arthur's way.

"My daughter is your son's wife, not a blood vessel.How could you be so mean to her?"

If it hadn't been because Rebecca has the same blood type as Adam does, we wouldn't have accepted her into my family,’ Julia retorted angrily.

"How could you say that? Doesn't my daughter match your son?"

Alice questioned with her arms crossed on her chest.

"Yeah, our Rebecca is so beautiful and capable.If she hadn't married Adam, Rebecca would have met many excellent men!" Lily echoed.

Julia sneered, "Capable? Humph, why haven't I found it yet? I think you all..."

"Julia, enough of it" Arthur interrupted Julia.

Julia sneered and left.

The next morning, Rebecca got up early and went to the hospital to see Adam.

Adam just gritted his teeth and closed his eyes.

When the doctor finished examining Adam and treating the wound, Arthur and Julia arrived.

When seeing Adam who had woken up, Julia was happy, while Arthur looked composed.

"Sir, Madam, Adam is already out of danger.He needs some rest to recover gradually,’ the doctor reported and left the ward with the nurses.

Julia heaved a sigh of relief.

"Adam, don't do such a foolish thing again, okay?"

"Mom, don't save me next time."

Adam remained indifferent and said coldly.

"Adam, don't go too far.Even if I can't do anything to you, I still have many ways to let Linda disappear from this world"

Arthur was really irritated by Adam and roared.
