Chapter 13 

Adam was grounded in the hospital.Rebecca arrived at the hospital at around 5 p.m.

Two tall guards were guarding Adam's ward.

No one was allowed to bring any communication equipment in case Adam contacted Linda.

"Where's your phone?"

This was the first question Adam had asked her when Rebecca went into the room.

He looked at her with a long face.

Rebecca stood close by and poured water for him.

She paused and replied, "The guards by the door took it."

"Why don't you refuse? I don't know you are so obedient! Go and get it back!"

Adam suddenly yelled at Rebecca with a sinister face.

Rebecca poured the water, walked over, and handed it to Adam.

Adam felt so annoyed that he raised his hand and swept over.

It was followed by aloud noise.

He swept the glass to the ground.

Water and glass shards were spilled all over the floor.

"I saw Miss Green at school today.She's fine.Nothing happened to her."

Rebecca squatted down to pick up the broken glass on the ground as she spoke.

Adam looked at Rebecca who was such a push-over and became more annoyed.

"Get lost.I don't need you here."

Rebecca didn't listen to him and continued picking up the broken glass on the ground.

She threw them into the trash can and went to the bathroom to get a towel to dry the floor.

Adam looked at her and closed his eyes in despair as he buried himself into the bed.

"Miss Green asked me if I can help her today.'' When she had finished cleaning the mess, Rebecca stood up and looked at Adam.

She spoke ina calm voice.

"What did you say to her?"

Adam suddenly opened his eyes, which were sharp and filled with anger.

Rebecca lowered her head, avoided looking at his angry eyes, and asked instead, "Do you also want me to help you guys?"

If Adam wanted her to, she would.

Adam sneered with an icy expression on his face.

"Will you be so kind?"

Rebecca suddenly looked up at him and smiled.

"The stronger one always beats the weaker one.How could you win the business over from your father if you couldn't even protect the person you love?"

Adam looked at Rebecca.

His sneer was frozen on his face.

He was back to himself after a second of stiffness and asked, "How are you going to help us?"

Rebecca looked at him and said without annoyance or regret, "Whatever and however you want."

Adam nodded.

"Okay! Then go out now and call Linda.Tell her that in my life, I will never fall in love with or marry any woman other than her."

"Fine..." Rebecca nodded.

Her eyes turned red the moment she turned around.

"What did she say?"

As soon as Rebecca finished the call and returned to the room, Adam asked her.

"She said she would wait for you." Adam nodded.

"Okay! You can go now.’ Rebecca pretended not to hear him.

She went to call the nurse, seeing his drip was about to be finished.

Adam stopped looking at her and closed his eyes.

His expression was frighteningly cold.

Soon, the nurse came in and changed the drip.

Rebecca had nothing to do, so she picked up a book, sat on the sofa, and read it quietly.

Julia came with dinner at around six o'clock.

The dinner was very sumptuous, but Rebecca and Adam ate different dishes.

Adam could only have some fluids and nothing else.

After dinner, Julia stayed for a couple of hours or so.

By the time she left, it was almost nine in the evening.

After Julia left, Rebecca took a warm towel from the bathroom to wipe Adam's face and hands.

However, before she could reach him, Adam pushed her away.

Adam's strength was so great that even if he was seriously ill now, his strength did not decrease at all.

He accidentally pushed back Rebecca.

Her back hit the corner of the wall with a loud sound.

Her eyes watered in pain in an instant.

Looking at Rebecca's painful little face, which was almost twisted, Adam didn't turn gentle a bit.

"Adam! I can tell Miss Green tomorrow that I'm your legal wife.Do you believe me?"

Rebecca closed her eyes and gasped for air.

Her words sounded as cold as ever.

She was a push-over, but that didn't mean she had no bottom line.Adam widened his eyes in shock and said.

"How dare you!"

"Yes, I don't dare! For now!"

As she spoke, Rebecca opened her eyes and sneered at Adam.

"But don't make me do it"

Adam looked at Rebecca and was suddenly impressed by such a woman who never showed any emotion on her face.

"Now, let's wipe your face."

Rebecca walked over with Adam staring at her with a frightening icy gaze.

She handed him the warm towel again.

She smiled faintly with a pale face and said, "My mother took 11 million dollars from your father.Just treat me like your servant."
