“”I am sorry for the inconveniences before.I had sent you the recording earlier but I didn’t hear back
from you. Then I decided to ask you in person.”Melissa gave a warm smile.
The chief of the police station had something else in his mind. He didn’t intend to take this case.But
when he saw it involved Melissa,he instantly rushed to the police station and unexpectedly he also met
Murray there.
“You don’t have to worry about anything. We have heard the recordings and other available evidence.
For this moment our main focus is to get the confession of the truck driver to solve this case
faster.”Chief mumbled.
It’s important for the truck driver to confess the crime. Otherwise all her efforts would be useless even if
Claire admitted her crime.After all,it was the truck driver who had executed the evil plan.

The truck driver had never confessed his crime,so they had put him in a different place from the other

closed the file which was in his hand and waited for the driver to make a decision in their favor.
The truck driver lowered his head and said nothing. He looked extremely anxious.
Murray didn’t utter a word and kept reading his body language. Three of them silently stared at each
other.It seemed like some kind of competition going on and whoever would break the silence would
lose.
“You don’t have to look at us like that. We know the truth so it’s better for you to stop this charade in
front of us.”.The chief threatened him again.
“I have given you my statement already. Nothing has changed so it’s better for you to not waste your
efforts. Just send me to jail.”The truck driver seemed to be determined to stay at his words.
It seemed like he had no chance to escape from the punishment which he had chosen for himself.
Hearing this,Murray snorted, “We are giving you one last chance,do you still want to admit that it was
your plan?
As I am here to inform you that the money given to you by Claire will be confiscated according to law.”
As soon as the driver heard that the money would be taken away,he became anxious. He looked at
Murray with ferocious eyes and asked, “You can’t do this.It doesn’t belong to you. So with what right
you are saying this nonsense?”
“Since you are in jail. We can do whatever we like. Didn’t Claire inform you beforehand?”Murray
smartly talked to him.
He was very clear about what Claire could do and what not. He knew that she wouldn’t have much
money to give so she must have given them a small amount.
“Who are you?”The driver was already baffled with Murray’s way of interrogation.

It was easy to threaten him as the driver was someone who was unaware of basic information about
the transaction and withdrawal limits. “You’re not from the bank,nor are you from the government. You
have no right to seize my account.Stop giving me empty threats.”The driver acted like he wasn’t afraid
of anything.
At this time, Melissa walked in the cell quietly, while resting her hands in her pockets and sunglasses
on,she was looking very different.”Uff!I forgot to tell you that I used a hacker to investigate the money
you received.It’s at the tips of my fingers to get your account seized.If you want, you can wait and
watch.”Murray smirked.
When the driver heard this, he realized that he had been cheated by Claire. Whatever he had done
was for the sake of money and if he would not be given that then he had every right to take a right
stand for him.
“Fine!I have no reason to stay quiet now. One day Claire had found me and she knew that I was in
need of money to give a better future to my son.She asked me to do whatever she wants,and not to
leave any evidence behind.
In return,she will send my son abroad to study.”
The driver lowered his head and said those words silently,as if his suppressed emotions had been novelbin
released. While talking about his son,there were tears in his eyes and he looked vulnerable.
“”Look at this,this is a blank cheque of our company. She gave you the money that belonged to our
company. She would have given you the money from her personal account but she played smarter.
Maybe whatever she had given you was a small amount of her own money but it might be a huge
number in your eyes which made you commit this hideous crime. “Murray explained that to him in a
slow tone.
“”As much as I know Claire,she might have given you a phone number to call when the whole accident
will be staged.”Murray waited for hai reply. The driver raised his head in astonishment and nodded
instantly and told them the exact phone number which Claire had given him.
Everyone was stunned.It turned out that the person whose phone number Claire had given was
Murray.
Melissa rolled her eyes at Murray.She was so angry that she encircled her hand around her wrist.
It seemed that Claire had done this after some smart planning.The main purpose of her was to replace
Melissa in Murray’s life.
Unfortunately,all this happened too fast and nobody knew how to react.Even Clairemight not have
expected it.
After the driver’s confession,it doesn’t matter what Claire said.Everything was crystal clear.
The chief of the police station came to the hospital with the two of them.
