Chapter 23 Revelation

Right then, a woman’s voice was heard. “Stop right there!”

Everyone turned toward the voice and saw Diane approaching them.

Quintin noticed that the voice sounded familiar. He was stunned when he turned around and saw

Diane. Ms. Reed? The general manager of Centurion Corporation, Ms. Reed?

At that moment, Quintin’s mind went blank, and he was utterly bewildered. He had never seen

someone as important as her.

Being a vendor of Globetrotter Winery, Felix had met with all the high-rank employees, but he had

never seen Diane in person. When he saw Diane walking toward him, he shouted, “What the f*ck?

What was that for? What department is she from? I’m-”

Before Felix could finish his sentence, he was served with a tight slap across his face first before being

kicked to the ground. Felix thought it was Christopher who had attacked him, and he wanted to

reprimand the latter. However, he was stumped when he found out that Quintin was the one who kicked novelbin

him. “Mr. Williams, why did you kick me?”

“Shut the f*ck up! This is all your fault!” Quintin was on the verge of peeing his pants. After putting Felix

to the ground, he dashed toward Diane and stammered, “M-Ms. Reed, to what do we owe the

pleasure?”

Everyone was shocked by how Quintin addressed Diane. No one else except for Quintin had ever seen

Diane in person.

“M-Ms. Reed?” Felix was frightened, and he started shivering. Did I just offend the general manager of

Globetrotter Winery? She’s Diane Reed? She’s a domineering woman!

“I’m doomed. I’m so doomed. This is all this moron’s fault.” Felix wanted to beat Christopher up so

badly because he thought if it wasn’t for Christopher, he wouldn’t have ended up in that situation.

To his surprise, Diane ignored Quintin and rushed toward Christopher anxiously. “Chairman, I’m sorry

for being late.”

At that instant, everyone at the scene was flabbergasted. Even Quintin, Felix, and Diane’s secretary

were struck dumb.

If Ms. Reed is the general manager of Centurion Corporation, then wouldn’t her chairman be the

chairman of Centurion Corporation as well? Everyone at the scene instinctively turned toward

Christopher at once.

Quintin was bewildered when he glanced at Christopher. Could that country bumpkin be my boss? H-

How is this possible? Why is the chairman of Globetrotter Winery dressed this way?

The rest of them were also wondering about the same thing. How could he be the chairman of

Globetrotter Winery?

On the floor, Felix rubbed his eyes in disbelief. Is my vision okay? Is there someone else behind that

country bumpkin?

Although Christopher had never met Diane, Dennis had told him about how capable she was.

Christopher nodded in response and answered, “It’s all right.”

As soon as those words fell, everyone panicked. Not only does he know the general manager, but he’s

also the chairman! He’s the boss of Globetrotter Winery and the chairman of Centurion Corporation!

He’s a man of absolute importance!

Meanwhile, Felix plunged into despair. I’ve reprimanded the general manager and humiliated the boss

of Globetrotter Winery!

“Were you the ones who blocked the entrance?” Diane threw a cold glance at all the employees. The

receptionists and the security guard were so terrified that they were shuddering. In a trembling tone,

Quintin quickly replied, “I-It was just a misunderstanding!”

“Misunderstanding? Amanda, get in touch with the HR department and fire all of them. Also, investigate

Mr. Williams and his nephew to see if there’s any misappropriation of the company fund,” Diane

demanded with a darkened expression.

Amanda Clark, Diane’s secretary, was still in a daze like the others. However, she immediately

regained her composure and answered, “Yes, Ms. Reed.”

“Don’t fire us, Ms. Reed! Mr. Yaeger, please don’t fire us!” The receptionists and the security were

overwhelmed with guilt. Indeed, working at Globetrotter Winery had been very rewarding. If they had

known earlier, they would’ve just let Christopher in. On the other hand, Quintin was horrified. Not only

was he about to get fired, but he was also going to get investigated. He had been stealing from the

company over the years.

“Ms. Reed, Mr. Yaeger, please give us a second chance!” Quintin choked out.

Felix was still in a daze, and he was shivering in fear. His girlfriend was also utterly shocked because

everything was beyond what she expected.

“Fire all of them!” Diane fumed.

Christopher kicked Felix, who was still on the ground, and uttered flatly, “You said your family is a

business partner here, didn’t you? Well, that won’t be the case from now on. Besides, you have more

coming your way. Ms. Reed, investigate them. If they’ve ever bribed the employees of Globetrotter

Winery or done anything sleazy, get them jailed!”
