Chapter 23 Naive and Innocent
“I read the recommendations on the Internet. There is a local
restaurant with delicious dishes, but it’s a bit far away. If we
go late, we have to queue up!”
In the past few years, Athena had been by Byron’s side. Those people she had come into contact with
were either scheming
or dissolute.
She hadn’t seen someone as innocent as Gabe in years.

As the call was answered, he asked immediately, “Miss Newton, we can’t get in touch with Mr.
Crawford…”
Athena interrupted coldly, “Sorry, please call the Office of the President directly. I am no longer Mr.
Crawford’s secretary.”

He hastily said something and hung up the phone.
Gabe looked at Athena.
