Chapter 28

She had to build a high wall in her heart to block Kenneth out and no longer give him the chance to

attract her and hurt her.

Only by shutting him out of her world, she then became independent and strong.

Arabella didn't message Kenneth back on Line. Instead, she just put her phone in her bag and went

straight to the residential house in the suburb outside Hardgrad.

...

Kenneth had already returned to Hardgrad and just got off the plane. Jared and Randall came to pick

him up at the airport. After Kenneth walked out of the exit, they all got into a stretch business limousine.

Kenneth looked at the phone in his hand and frowned, wondering why Arabella still didn't reply to his

message after such a long time.

Sitting in the front passenger seat, Randall laughed. "Ken, why did you suddenly come back two days

earlier than planned? Are you in a hurry to have a date with a girl so that you flew back overnight? Who

is she? I noticed that you have been looking at your phone since you got off the plane."

Kenneth pressed his thin lips together and didn't say anything.

Jared pushed his gold-rimmed glasses up his nose and smiled. "Ken is not going to have a date with a

beauty. I guess he is just 'worried' about his cute wife."

Kenneth lifted his long leg with difficulty and kicked Jared next to him, "What are you talking about?"

After saying that, Kenneth dialed a phone number out to Floweret Garden.

The housekeeper, Bryson, soon answered the phone. Kenneth asked, "Where's Mrs. Lucero? Is she

sleeping now?"

Jared snorted and slowly wiped the footprint on his suit pants. "See? I guessed right!"

Bryson said respectfully on the other end of the phone, "Mr. Lucero, Mrs. Lucero just went out."

"Got it!" Kenneth hung up the phone.

Randall immediately became curious and asked, "What? Ken, it is eight o'clock in the evening right

now! And you just returned from a business trip! As people always say, absence makes the heart grow

fonder. Shouldn't your wife take a milk bath with rose petals and then wear a nightgown in bed waiting

for you? But now, she has gone out! Ken, is she cheating on you?"

...

Kenneth gave Randall a cold glance, signaling him to shut up. Then, he looked at his personal novelbin

secretary Cole, who was sitting in the driver's seat, and said, "Find out where Mrs. Lu is now."

Cole nodded respectfully. "Yes, Mr. Lucero."

...

Arabella arrived at the residential house in the suburb outside Hardgrad.

She gently pushed open the door and immediately smelled a pungent smell of medicine. Janelle was

badly ill, and it seemed that Melvin arranged for a doctor to treat her.

Arabella soon saw Janelle, who was now lying on the bed with a pale face. Ten years had passed, and

Janelle had aged a lot.

"Janelle!" Arabella quickly walked over and gently shook Janelle awake. "Janelle, wake up! It's me."

Janelle weakly opened her eyes. When she saw Arabella, her cloudy eyes instantly brightened up,

"Ms. Snyder? Is it really you? Ms. Snyder! Mr. Spencer didn't lie to me! He really brought you to see

me!"

Janelle carefully looked at Arabella up and down. Tears poured down her cheeks. "Ms. Snyder, you've

grown up."

Janelle was so excited that she soon began to cough violently and even spit out a mouthful of blood.

Arabella quickly took Janelle's pulse. Janelle was very sick now, and if it wasn't for the belief of seeing

Arabella again, she would have given up treatment long ago.

"Janelle, don't say anything! You have to go to the hospital for treatment. I'll take you out of here now."

Arabella helped Janelle to stand up. Then, they left the house together.

The lights were on outside the house. At this time, Melvin came over.
