Chapter 20

Tyson POV

She rejected him, and Ace blinded by his own ego launched himself at her, knocking her down

before rejecting her rejection. Tyrant pressing beneath my skin as he watches him attack her, forcing

me to my feet. I try to get him off her when he sinks his teeth into her neck. I grab him, ripping him off

her, her scream making me enraged and I punch him.

He growls at me, but he just fucking hurt her. He hurt her. He took her choice, this was never

meant to go down like this, she was never meant to find out like this and he ruined everything making

me hate him for it. Ace tackles me, slamming me into the wall, I punch him in the ribs making him grunt

letting Tyrant forward to help me shove him off.

Tyrant wanted to kill him, we accepted the fact we had to share her, but I was not accepting of

what he did, as I repeatedly rained blow after blow down on him. How could he, she is our mate, how

could he hurt her like that?

Hearing her gasp, I looked up to see she had got to her feet, she sways clutching her neck where

his mark now lay on her delicate flesh. I watch as her eyes roll into the back of her head and I try to

reach her before she hits the floor when Ace grips my ankle, ripping me back and making me fall face

first on the floorboards. I turned using my other foot to kick him in the face, making his head snap back

as he clutched his bleeding face. I hear the sound of her body hitting the floor with a hard thud, the

sound of her head bouncing off the hard floor.

“Lucy!” I gasp rushing over to her, her head bleeding where she hit the corner of the wall and

spilling onto the floor. I turn her over pulling her into my lap and Ace comes over still in a rage as he

goes to grab me before stopping as he peered down at her bleeding everywhere, she was healing but

damn that gash was deep, her blood smeared down the wall and all over my legs and chest. I glare up

at him.

“I didn’t mean to” He gasps, reaching for her but I pull her away from him and tuck her against my

chest, her body completely limp in my arms. I watch as he swallows, his Adam's apple boobing in his

throat.

“She shouldn’t have rejected me” He states looking away and tossing the blame on her. I growl at

him. Is that all he has to say, all he can think about after what she said.

“You selfish prick” I tell him and his head whips back to me while I glare daggers at him.

“She fucking rejected me! What else was I supposed to do” he screams at me.

“Not take her fucking choice, how could you after what she said, how the fuck could you believe

Melana over her, you don’t deserve her” I tell him. He growls, stepping toward me, his eyes falling on

her for a second and pauses.

“Get out!” I tell him, I was disgusted with him. He was just as bad as her teacher. He doesn’t move.

“You don’t mean that, you are just angry” Ace says.

“I fucking mean it, get the fuck out of here before I ring Ryker and have him remove you” I tell him.

“She isn’t just your mate, Tyson”

“You’re right, but I wonder what Ryker and Reika will say when they find out you forcefully marked

her, she just told us she was nearly raped and then you go and take her choice, you are just as vile as

him” I tell him.

“I am nothing like him,” Ace screams.

“No because taking her choice wasn’t something he did, you are right though, you aren’t like him,

what you did was worse because she is our mate, ours Ace, ours to keep safe and you just showed her

you don’t care for what she wants if it goes against what you want, luckily she escaped him, but now

she can’t escape you” I tell him before pushing my arms underneath her limp body and scooping her

up.

“Get out, I don’t want you here when she wakes up” I tell him before stepping past him and

heading back to my room. I kick the door shut before placing her on the bed. I hear something break

before hearing the front door slam as he leaves. Walking into the bathroom attached to my room, I wet

a cloth before walking back out to her to clean her up, wiping the blood from her face and neck, she

stirs but doesn’t wake.

I open the mindlink searching for my brother. Ryker opens it allowing it to connect.

“Busy Tyson, can’t talk now” He says about to cut the link off.

“It’s about Lucy” I tell him and hesitates before opening the link completely.

“What happened?”

“You need to get a hold of Avery and Aamon”

“They won’t let her back in Tyson, she blew her chances I already tried” Ryker tells me.

“She is never going back, it has nothing to do with her wanting to go back to school Ryker, can you

come over please” I ask him.

“I am in a meeting, it will have to wait”

“Cancel it” I tell him.

“What’s going on?” He asks and it becomes startlingly clear to me, that not one person who is

supposed to care for ever asked her why she did it. I felt like a fool for not questioning it myself, not

demanding an answer from her. Lucy would never endanger other people, her pranks had a limit, but I

never bothered to ask.

“Did you ever ask her, did Reika ever ask her why she burnt that classroom down” I ask him and

he pauses.

“Tyson, I know she has problems with the students, but that doesn’t give her the right to damage

school property” Ryker says.

“You may just change your mind on that, it was never to do with her not liking school, just come

over I will explain”

“Explain what? Nothing you say will change the fact she burnt down a classroom Tyson, you

always defend her actions instead of letting her own up to her mistakes. I will come see you after work”

“You know she was homeless right? She was living in the forest until I found her yesterday. I novelbin

thought she was at home until Rayan told me he had been sneaking out to see her. For once just

bloody do as I ask” I tell him.

“I thought she was staying at your house?” Ryker says.

“No, and you would have known if you hadn’t kept blocking us out.

I only found out because I picked up Rayan from school”

“Fine, I will be over when the meeting is over. I am having issues with Alpha Jamie” Ryker says.

“Fine but bring Aamon with you, he needs to know this” I tell him.

“Whatever it is I can handle it Tyson, I am not going to pull him from work because Lucy wants to

go back to school when I already know the answer”

“Lucy is not going back to school, nor is she leaving my side. Just get Aamon here or Avery. I don’t

care which one” I tell him.

“You are being a pain in my ass, just spit it out Tyson so I can get back to work” He snaps at me

through the link. I wanted Lucy to tell them, this wasn’t my place to tell them, not my secret but now I

was wondering if I had no choice, none of them were going to take her seriously.

“Her teacher tried to rape her, that’s why she burnt the classroom down” I tell him. He growls the

mindlink vibrating dangerously almost cutting off.

“What did you just say?” He growls.

“He tried to rape her” I repeat, feeling sick just saying those words. No wonder she changed, no

wonder she became distant.

“I’m on my way” He says, cutting off the link. I refocus on the room and look down at my mate

passed out on the bed. Getting up, I grab one of my shirts from the drawer before pulling her jumper

off, leaving her in her singlet before pulling my shirt over her head. I then walk the bloodsoaked jumper

into the laundry before chucking it on the washing machine. Just as I turn around, Aamon mists into my

hallway, scaring the crap out of me.

“Ryker said to come here, some urgent?” He says looking around. The smell of burnt almonds

flooding my senses and I scrunch up my nose when I hear a car speeding up the long driveway before

skidding to a stop.

“And that would be Ryker,” Aamon says, walking to the front of the house.

I follow Aamon, Ryker stomping up the porch steps before nearly ripping the door from the hinges

as he ripped it open. “Where is she?” he says and Aamon looks at him confused.

“She is asleep, Ace marked her” I tell him and he opens his mouth before closing it.

“She figured out she was your mate?” He asks.

“Nope, they had an argument and Ace blurted it out, he marked her when she rejected him” I tell

him, he growls his eyes flickering dangerously as his canines protrude, good Ace deserves what is

coming to him.
