Chapter 3 Tales of Rivalries
A/N Helooo my lovely fellas, I'm back!!! Sorry for not updating the last 2 weeks. I had a lot of stuff to do and I was out of ideas to write. Anyway, it took me few night to dream and think how to make this chapter exciting. Not waste your time anymore, here comes the story.
Artemis's POV
That night wasn't a pleasant night to sleep. But I manage to put my mind back to the realm of Hypnos.
Even when I was asleep, the image of that werewolf kept bouncing back in my dream. Though I tried hard to change it, but it was no use besides, we feel weaker when we're asleep.
Then the first light of the next day finally shined in through the window. Birds started to sing on the branches and the wind was calm and everything seemed just so normal and peaceful. Like nothing had happened last night. Everything I saw was just my imagination.
I slowly turn on my side, yawning, lazy to crawl out of the bed. Whenever I was back at Leto's island, I turned back to myself in the good old days. Never wondered or concerned about everything in the world.
But instead when my position changed and my arm should've hit the blanket or the soft bed. It landed on something else.
Until then, I started to realise the odd thing that was occurring in the room, or in specific on my bed.
A warm and tender wind was blowing at the back of my neck. My eyes were wide opened at this point, since I felt something was laying on my waist. Each time the warm air blew on my neck, a sensation caused shiver down my spine. I slowly turned my head and the last thing I wanted was scream.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Yup I did. Laying next to me was a male. A disgusting creature, a pig with black messy hair. As I screamed, I managed to get off the bed and at the time waking the brave invader who was about to face the punishment worse than being thrown into Tartarus.
"What...what?" The male sat up immediately, still confused of what was going on. Scratching the back of his neck, looking around.
Now I got a better look at him. His hair jet black hair appeared to be messier since he kept scratch it. His feature was fine for his kind with the unusual sea-green eyes of his reminded me of someone I knew. He was around 17 and seemed to be tall.
He turned to me and before I could kill him, he gave out an ears destructive scream.
"Shut your mouth you filthy animal!" I snarled. "What the Hades are you doing in my room!?"
He stopped screaming and frowned at me. "I should ask you that question. What are you doing in my room?"
I stared at him dumbfound. "This is my room you smelly pig!" I yelled. "I'm gonna kill you for entering without permission!"
"Hey this is my room lady" he responded, standing up from the bed. "I don't know where the hell are you come from. But I need an clear explanation for entering without permission."
I was about to say more but then I realised it. The male in front of my didn't wear anything except his blue boxer. He had a fine body for his kind with chest and packs and everything. Just then I felt conscious and looked back at myself with me wearing only the White tank top and silver mini shorts. I didn't even have my bra on.
Both of us now had realised it and we fell silent. He was staring at me, and I just stared back at him. Then at a point when reality snapped. My inside erupted
"You filthy and perverted animal. I will kill your for tainting my reputation" I cried, summoning my bow and aim at him.
"Wait wait" he threw his hands in surrender but I was furious.
The first arrow released, I jumped aside to dodge as it contacted the wall, causing an explosion and created a hole on it.
"Hey you enter my room and now attack me." He screamed. "Are you out of your mind!?"
"Shut up!" I snapped, releasing an volley of silver arrow at him.
He jumped across the room, my arrow shot at his back. He was incredibly fast for a human. Never in my life that I missed a target and now I already missed a hundred shots.
"Hey stop!" He cried. "This is insane!"
I kept clenching my teeth and continued to shoot arrow after arrow at him. It knocked over the vase, dozen stuck on the wall, fews landed on the floor and there was one scattered the mirrors into pieces. Yet, none did hit him.
"Stop! This is not funny!" He dodged another arrow of my.
"I would keep my mouth shut if I was you!" I snapped.
"What did I even do?" He grimaced.
"Yeah how about entering my room and sleep next to me with your filthy, naked smelly body!" I said.
I was so mad that I couldn't know the level of it. Four thousand years of an oath to swear of men, and yet today, a single male came into ruin it. True he didn't do anything to me, I was still a maiden. But he did sleep next to me naked. If this got out, I wouldn't know where to hide from embarrassment. And all of that just because of this filthy man.
"Look I'm sorry for making you mad ok?" He said. "But can we just at least talk it out. No need for any of this."
"Shut up!!!" I screamed and pull back my string.
I was about to release it when Leto came running into the war zone.
"Wha-what is happening?" She breathed hard, looking around the no-longer my bedroom.
That male hid behind her. "Mo-mother" He said. "That scary girl just came into my room and started attacking me."
"Do not call her mother you pig!" I flared. "She is my mother!" novelbin
"No she is my mother Hot-Head" he yelled back.
"Argg" I pulled back my arrow again when Leto yelled.
"Stop it both of you!"
Silence emerged the room. If there was one thing you shouldn't do, that was to make Leto angry.
Mother looked at both of us and sighed out.
"I didn't expect it would turn out to be like this" she muttered then moved into the middle of the room and looked at me.
"Artemis." She said softly. "Meet your half brother Perseus"
"And Perseus" she emphasised his name and raised her eyebrows. "Meet your half sister Artemis"
I stared at him blankly with my jaw probably dropped to the floor. So the monster in that cage, the werewolf supposed to be my brother was this male. I expected him to be different, not that stupid and clumsy. After the story of him last night, I felt sympathy for him to at least not to kill him in the fist place. But now, after everything that just happened. All I wanted was to rip him apart and throw him into the cage of my wolves.
"Mother are you kidding me?" Perseus said. "Artemis is that scary girl?"
"Mother you can't be serious?" I cried. "My half brother is that stupid boy?"
"Yes she is and yes he is" Leto said again, glancing on both directions. "Now both of you should start to know each other since the secret already been revealed."
"The Artemis I imagine is more gentle and kind." He huffed and looked away.
"Unfortunately boy!" I sneered, emphasis the 'boy' to show my hatred to his kind. "I'm not that gentle."
"Now both of you get downstairs and ready for breakfast!" Leto demanded. "I went out only few minutes and look at what you did."
She waved her hands and a blast of energy surge out, across the room to all comers. My arrows disappeared into twinkle little stars. The holes were filled back with broken pieces of wood, glass and other stuff returned to their original places. In few seconds, the room looked like nothing had ever happened.
"Mum but why is she staying in my room?" Perseus complained.
"Right mother" I said. "Why did he say this is his room when its owner is me?"
"We'll talk about that later" Leto said, walking towards the door. "Anymore trouble and you both will have nothing for your stomachs today."
Leto gone, left the room with two of us. The atmosphere dropped again with both of us glaring danger at each other. No one spoke a word with Perseus clenching his fists while I held tight on my bow.
I was about to attack again when Leto voice came from downstairs. "What are you two doing up there? Want to cause more trouble?"
I let my bow disappeared and walked passed him. He stared down at me since he was taller while I glared up.
"We are not done yet" I said.
"Same thing for me" he huffed.
With that, my day started with so much fun...no, not really.
