***Ava's POV

Ava what's wrong? ' Ray's dad asked.

'Huh? ' I didn't have a clue on what he was talking about at all.

'Honey you're limping, did you hurt yourself? ' Renata pointed out.

'We noticed yesterday before dinner that you were walking lamely. ' Reynard added.

I was becoming really nervous, had they figured what happened between the three of us?

home, how did he see all these?

'Ava, we had told the boys to stay away from you, but now all I can say is that you need them as much

as they need you. Given the closeness I've noticed between the three of you, they must have told you

what happened to Bry. '

I confirmed her words by nodding. 'They must trust you to tell you that, all I can ask is for you to be

there for them, please take care of my boys Ava. We trust you. ' They trusted me? but why? I didn't get

it.

'And you, she turned to her boys, pointing at them. You don't want to know what will happen if you hurt

my daughter. ' Wow, she really did act like my mum.

In fact those were the same words she had used on Nate. odd, I thought. How could two different

people use the same words on the same person?

She reminded me of how mum had threatened Nate even after he assured her that we weren't dating.

'Ray and Bry. ' Their dad called onto them.

'You asked if we could allow you to drop our surname. ' Reynard got their attention.

'The paper work has already been started. It will take a few days cause you're adults. ' He paused.

'But we want you to promise us that you'll never forget who raised you. ' He spoke.

'Please boys promise us that you won't stop calling us mum and dad. ' Renata sadly begged.

'Stop it guys, how could you even think that we'd forget all that you've done for us? ' Ray asked.

'We only the paperwork for obvious reasons, but in our hearts you'll always be our parents. ' Bry

assured them.

'Not to mention that we are not planning on moving out anytime soon. ' Ray added.

After the many promises, agreements and assurances, Renata finally turned her attention to me.

'I'll send someone to pick you up around 12 noon and bring you to the hospital. I will be there waiting. ' I

was finally going to meet this mysterious person.

Mum' had instructed someone to pick up just as she had told me before they left for work.

My two hunks had long gone to school, how I wished I could start college and join them.

In fact I was planning to, I could pay for my school fees with the debit card Reynard had given me. He

had made it pretty clear that I was allowed to use the money however I wanted.

I would like to think that I was lucky for having the Romans in my life.

The ride to the hospital took about an hour, given the terrible traffic jam along Thika Road.

I had also asked the driver at some point to pull up at some pharmacy for me to get the pregnancy pills.

I sat on the back seat guessing and trying to figure out who this person was.

Renata was already there when we pulled up. She looked beautiful as ever but she seemed a little bit

nervous.

Who was this person that was this dear to the both of us? As she pulled me along the hospital corridors

into the elevator, I noticed she was increasingly fidgeting.

'Do you want to go back to the car 'mum' ? ' I was genuinely concerned.

'You look sick, maybe we could get a doc to see you before seeing 'this' person.' I suggested, stressing

the word this.

'I'll be okay honey, you have to go see her now. I promise I'm going to be alright. '

But mum..' Just then, the elevator door opened and before me was a man that I hadn't seen for

months.

'Uncle Rob??? ' The question wasn't meant to be heard by anyone.

What was he doing here? I didn't want to be in the same place as him. He brought back the pain his

family put me through after my mum passed on.

Why was uncle Rob here and how the hell did he know Renata and the mysterious person?
