'Phoebe!' he whispered still in shock as soon as he found his voice. 'What are you doing here?'
'The last time I checked, this was my house. Do I need anyone's permission to come into my own
house?' she asked enjoying herself and his discomfiture.
'No, of course not. I meant that I did not expect you back so soon. You had told me you would be back
tomorrow when we spoke on the phone last night. This could only mean....'
'Finally. You are thinking! I never left in the first place'.
'But why?'
'Why? Are you really asking me why? I have sacrificed everything for you right from the time we met
but you never really appreciated me nor the things that I do for you. You carry on with other ladies
behind my back and pretend you love me. I do alot to ensure that you are satisfied and comfortable but
you do not care about that do you? You are too self-centered and greedy to think about any other
person but yourself.
I have watched your activities these past few days and I could not believe that I have been blind by my
love for you all these while. I even believed you when you accused my best friend of having her eye on
you. That was untill you sent your goons, those gangsters to rape her to death.
They would have succeeded but for some God sent. I suspected that you might be responsible but I
was not very sure. So, I decided to investigate and these past days I pretended to have travelled and
have kept an eye on you,have indeed been an eye opener. What do you want to say in your defense?
You can't say anything to convince me, you know. You really showed your true colours and I can have
nothing to do with you anymore!'.Phoebe had said with finality.
'And who said anything about trying to convince you? I do not have time for such nonsense. You think
that you are anything special to me? Think again haha haha', he laughed mockingly at her. 'I was just
using you but you were so daft that you didn't realize it and who ate you to point accusing fingers at
me? You who are no less than a prostitute? Or you think that I do not know that you have been fucking
your boss? And you claim that you love me. After being with him and allowing him spurt his cum inside

'Wouldn't I? It is obvious that you do not know me. You have been with me for so long and yet you do
not know me. Is that not foolishness of the highest order? What do I have to lose, tell me!'
Phoebe could not believe she was hearing all of this and from Richard. She had thought that she knew
him but like he had rightly said, she was residing that she had actually known nothing about him.
And now he was threatening to report her affair with her boss to her boss' wife. And from the look on
his face, he was very serious about it. What was she going to do?
She decided to call his bluff.
'Get lost. You have been rejected and want to grasp at straws. Go ahead and do your worst. You are
lower than the lowest thing alive. I will not be surprised if you sink even lower. Get the hell out of my
house!' Phoebe had shouted in fury.
Who was he anyways to threaten her that way after all she had done and sacrificed gor him?
She would rather have him do as he pleased and damn the consequences than stoop low and beg him
not to do that or continue with such a fake relationship because he was blackmailing her. He would
never stop blackmailing her with t and he was sure to make her life a living hell. It would be foolish
going ahead with the relationship just to buy his silence. Let him go ahead. She felt confident that her
boss would know what to do. Phoebe thought to herself.
It was with shock that she woke the next day ND prepared for work, only to get there and met her boss'
wife already there.
'Good morning, Ma'am', she greeted her smiling.
'And what is good Bout this morning?' She asked her frowning st her.
'You are lucky that the security even let you in. I just wanted to spare you the embarrassment of
revealing your shameful true self to the public because I do not want to create a big scene but this
office is out of bounds to you from today henceforth. zpsck your things and leave before I change my
mind and have the cops throw you in jail!'.
Phoebe was shocked. Even Richard could not have worked this fast now could he? And the woman
would have asked for evidence or tried to find evidence herself, definitely. So why was she here this
early when she had had that showdown with Richard just in the evening yesterday?'
'But madam,what have I done?'
'You still have the guts to ask what you have done? See?', she said as she threw some pictures at her.
It was the picture of her and her boss in different compromising positions. Phoebe could not believe it.
Had Richard been keeping tabs on her and having these snapshots taken? And all the while pretending
to love her and making love to her? She had really been living with a beast and she hadn't known
about that!.
He had been planning all these and she had had no inkling! The guy could kill.
'You are speechless? You no longer want to say anything?'
It was uncanny. This was exactly the same words Richard had used for her last night when they were
having the row.
'Get out of here with your dignity intsct and if I ever see you here again, your life would not be worth a
dime?'
'But what about my boss? I need to tell h that I am leaving and hand things over to him'.
'You can leave everything on your desk. He will find them there and for your information, he will not be
coming to the office today and knows that I am here to quit you. He wouldn't go against me, he knows
what the consequences would be and if I ever find you close to him again, you are done for!'
Phoebe believed her.
She packed her personal things in the office and left with the staff looking on. She felt ashamed and
humiliated. She knew that the news would spread and didn't think that she could endure that.
Richard had really done his worst and she was going to plot her revenge but she was going to do it far
away from him so that when she finally effected it,he wouldn't know what hit him.
She took two weeks to make preparations to leave the town and come to Lake District where she felt
things were relatively calm.
Her friend had also supported her relocation and Phoebe was happy for her because she was in a
loving relationship with Palmer, one of the guys who had rescued her that night from Richard's goons.
That was how Phoebe had ended up here and now Jason just wanted a relationship with no strings novelbin
attached with her? It was not possible. Though she was going to pretend that she accepted it and work
on him.
She was not ready to be used by any man ever again. With Jason's money and the position being his
wife would give her,she could effectively exert her revenge on Richard.
