Seal of Light - Enlightened

Chapter 19: XVIII. Space Clearing

A huge crater was formed from the blast. Casus’Lucem was left floating at the center of the crater with

a disappointed look. “Still got some cards remaining under your sleeves,” he mocked.

Summer landed from a quick leap with Mat’s arm anchored on her shoulders. She placed him slowly on

the ground while she kept her sight on Casus’Lumen. Summer was on her illuminated form, she didn’t

waste any second and started healing and life instilling on Mat.

Summer increased the speed of the movement of the veins of light that was crawling from her arms

going to Mat’s body.

“Even if this is the last thing that I will do,” Summer uttered

Summer lost some of her illumination and started to return back to her normal form, but her seal

remains lit and both her arms kept its illuminated form.

Mat regained enough strength to sit up while watching Summer nurse back his health. They were both

alarmed to see Casus’Lucem dashing towards their direction with both hands filled with a smaller

version of the black sun.

Casus’Lucem threw the charged blast one after the other while continuing to dash at high speed,

preparing himself to engage to another physical clash.

Summer deflected the first black sun while Mat countered the second using his ki-blade.

Mat, once again, turned into his illuminated form as he braises himself for Casus’Lucem’s impact.

Casus’Lucem winded back his arm that was about to hit Mat, then suddenly, just before he threw it, A

chain of golden links burst up from the ground and shackled his attacking arm. Casus’Lucem lost his novelbin

momentum as his body swings forwards while his arm pulled back from the fully extended chain made

of light.

Mat took the chance and quick leap forward and created several slashes that were like a thousand

worth pain-inflicting blow.

Casus’Lucem’s other free hand caught Mat again but another chain link shackled it and pulled it down

and allowed Mat to escaped and leaped few meters on an upward direction.

Casus’Lucem fought back wildly to free himself from the binding light. He started to charge up a new

black sun above his head while looking up to Mat who was suspended a few meters up above him.

Mat saw Rigs in his illuminated form, who was only a few meters away from Summer.

“Summer, move next to Rigs, keep up a barrier for protection!” Mat yelled at Summer while pointing to

Rigs’ direction.

Summer acknowledged and dashed towards the direction where Rigs was.

Then once again, golden chains made of light started shooting again from the ground. One strapped to

the Demon lord’s neck, the other to his legs and another one to his torso.

Mat started to free fall with his body aligning to a straight figure with his head first facing downward

breaking the air. Mat’s eyes where burning white like the sky, his whole body became an embodiment

of light. He retracted his ki-blade and drew a new weapon, it appears a bit longer than a ki-blade and it

looks like a divine golden flame from the sun. A whirling charge of light energy grew larger as Mat

reached closer to his target.

“Never was I so sure in my life about my purpose, now, its all clear. With this seal I bear, I will be a

humble servant of the fisher of men.”

Casus’Lucem growled as Mat pierced him with the golden flame, Mat, who was still in his light form,

passed thru the enemy’s upper shoulder part and exited to the side of the lower body.

Mat landed safely on his knees as the Demon lord fell lifeless before him.

Massive black cloud started to form again in a circling formation. It now covered a much larger area

that the previous time the Demon lord regenerated himself.

Mat knew what was about to happen next, he stood still in the eye of the dark cloud formation in a

prayer position.

“Wh-what is he doing?” Summer asked while keeping a spiritual barrier up against the strong force

radiating out from the Demon lord’s cloud.

“I think… I think he is going to perform a space clearing act, an island scale space clearing” Rigs

replied

"From the brightest star, whose seal I bear... allow me to clear this place from all form of darkness..."

Mat chanted in his prayer.

Angel wings spread out behind Mat, It was Kei’See, she started to chant with him and served as

multiplier to the effect of what Mat is doing.

They spoke the last line as if it came from a single voice.

“Accept the Blessing of Serenity!”

A giant halo like burst out from where Mat was standing, spreading out evenly increasing its size as it

moves out further. Everything on its path was cleared from all sorts of evilness and dark energies.

It was the battle’s conclusion. Mat Adam finally defeated the Demon-lord Casus’Lucem.

A giant white pillar enclosed Kei’See, beaming up far to the sky. It was radiating excessive light that

Mat, Summer and Rigs had to lift their hands for cover.

“You have fulfilled your mission, Bellatorum de Lumine, new Carriers of the Seal. Now this sacred place

has been restored and cleared from all forms of evil.”

Mat, Summer and Rigs still covered partly the excessive light as the angel spoke to them, but the light

grew much brighter that they could not see anymore.

Everything turned to white, all energies flowed at the same time as if everything was connected as one.

Thank you Summer Eve for staying and keeping your faith to Mat Adam. Your healing did not just

restored life and energy but kept everyone’s hope alive.

Thank you Rigs Prez for your courage and will to keep up until the very end. You were one of the key

who holds the greatest weapon there is and will ever be, which is Friendship.

Thank you Mat Adam, for every time you fall, you rise up back again, stronger and more persevered to

win. Your judgment as a leader was extra ordinary. You get to see first who’s in deep danger, and aid

them even if it will put your own life or the mission at risk. That is why you were chosen to be an Alpha

Carrier.
