Chapter 25 What Happened to Her? Waldron couldn’t find Claudia. He called her but didn’t get through. So, he drove back. On the way back, he received a call. To his surprise, it was Edmond. Waldron raised his eyebrows and picked it up without hesitation. “That’s interesting. I don’t expect you to call me. Edmond had hardly called him over the many years. Edmond said straight out, “Claudia is in danger.” “What?” Waldron slammed on the brakes and quickly pulled over. “What happened to her?” His nervous voice made Edmond bite his lips hard. But Edmond knew it was not time to argue with Waldron. Rodney had found out where Claudia had gone. She was taken away by Dempsey. Edmond was not afraid of everyone, except Dempsey, who was so ruthless that he might do great harm to her. Although Edmond had asked Rosalie to save her, Edmond was still worried. He thought of Waldron. It was funny for him to turn to his wife’s lover, though. Edmond pouted with contempt. His voice was cold. “She has been taken away by Dempsey. I’m in hospital and am not allowed to leave. I’m worried about her, so I want you to help me.” “Please save her for me.” His request pis sed Waldron off. Save her for Edmond?
