moved towards her side. She sighed in relief when she felt Emelda's body.

"Good morning mum," Emelda woke up at her mother's touch.

"It was fine. I dreamt about you mum." Emelda leaned into her mum's embrace.

"Really? Tell me about it." Quinn was amused.

"No mum, I will tell you later." Emelda hugged her mom tighter.

'Ring... ringgggg.' The sound of her ringtone distracted their quiet moment.

When Quinn saw the caller ID, she chuckled.

"Hey Khloe. What's up girl?" Quinn questioned gaily.

"Nothing much. The others wanted us to meet. The usual spot." Khloe said in her usual calm voice.

"Alright then. See you guys later." Quinn chuckled and hung up.

"Mum, was that Aunty Khloe?" Emelda asked her mum with doe eyes.

"Yes my love. Mum has to meet up with her friends today. So, Aunty Mildred will keep you company."

Quinn explained with a smile.

Emelda nodded, indicating that she understood.

"Good girl." Quinn patted her gently on the head. Aunty Mildred was their newly employed nanny.

They were still in Washington DC. She wanted to sort out some things before going back to California.

"Alright mum, I'll wait for you to come back." Emelda smiled at her mother.

Quinn sat down alongside her three friends as they chatted heartily.

"It's been a while guys..." Quinn smiled.

"Yeah,you totally forgot about us." Ariana said grumpily.

"Me? Never, hahaha..." Quinn held back in laughter.

"What is funny? She's speaking the truth." Jayden smirked.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry..." Quinn raised her hand in mock surrender.

"We will think about it." Khloe replied.

"Where's Emelda? Why didn't you bring her along?" Ariana asked as she drank her cup of coffee.

"Some sandwiches please!" Khloe gave her order.

Quinn and the other two glanced at each other and shouted simultaneously,

"Foodie!" They burst into laughter.

Among the four friends, Khloe was the one that loved food the most.

She had once said, "Eating is my favorite hobby."

"You haven't changed, have you?" Jayden smiled.

"I have... At least I only requested for sandwiches, nothing more." Khloe shrugged.

She was about to continue, when her sandwich arrived. She stopped talking and started eating heartily.

"Won't you give us some?" Quinn asked knowing fully well what her answer would be.

"If you guys wanna eat, order for yours." Khloe said between mouthfuls.

"Hmm. The sandwiches here remain the best, as usual." Khloe closed her eyes and savored the

delicious taste in her mouth.

"Ordinary sandwich is enough to make you this way?" Ariana giggled.

"None of your business." Khloe wasn't bothered to continue with her conversation. She focused on the

sandwich she was eating.

"Hey Quinn, what about Stephen?" Ariana asked with a wink.

"What about him?" Quinn turned her gaze away from them.

The three friends giggled.

"Don't tell us you haven't given that guy a chance?" Jayden teased.

"What are you guys talking about?" Quinn pretended to frown.

"He's head over heels about you, Quinn. Give the poor guy a chance." Khloe smirked.

"Why don't you date him then?" Quinn retorted.

"Nah,he only likes you and besides, he isn't up to my 'standards'." Khloe replied with a wink.

"Really? And what are your standards then?" Quinn adjusted her position on the chair.

"You don't wanna know." Khloe shrugged.

They continued teasing Quinn,so she decided to divert their focus from herself.

"Jay, what about your boyfriend?" Quinn smiled.

Jayden's expression suddenly changed. Yeah, he was a gay. He had a very handsome boyfriend but

recently they were having issues.

"He's fine." Jayden murmured downcast.

The others were worried, especially Quinn. She only wanted to tease him,but?

"What's wrong?" Ariana asked him in a concerned manner.

"He's been cheating on me lately. I'm fed up of the whole relationship." Jayden's eyes were teary.

Khloe and Quinn looked at each other but said nothing.

"Hey Jay, it's fine. Besides all relationship has that rocky phase. It will pass... Soon.." Ariana patted him

on the shoulders.

Quinn looked at all of them as they continued eating and chatting heartily.

She had a caring family. Great friends and most importantly, a beautiful and smart daughter.

all over the world.

Ariana was a renowned doctor; she was simply a professional in the field.
