It was already very late at night, but Xavier still made the decision to leave the mansion.

Before he left, he decided to take one last look at Winnie.

Nonetheless, when he arrived at the door, he found that it had been locked from the inside.

Twisting the door knob, Xavier knitted his brows.

I guess I must have really frighten her this time.

Meanwhile, behind the locked door, Winnie was huddled in bed. It wasn‘t until she heard Xavier leaving that she heaved a sigh of relief.

Apart from the soreness of her body, the only emotion she was feeling right then was regret.

Stuart scoffed. “Appease his anger? I‘d advise you to scrap that thought from your head. The new quart er is coming soon, and to tell you the truth, Xavier has already halted several projects Fairchild Corporation has with Garland Group.
