CHAPTER 22

Zaden came to his room, brushed his teeth and got ready for a morning run before he went over to Selena and woke her up.

“Selena, come on, time for your training” he grabbed her arms and shook her gently

“Hmm….five more minutes” she said in a low, husky voice before turning the opposite side and coil up

“Selena… its already 5am. Wake up” Zaden said sternly. She sprang up to sit

“Zaden, you are a psycho” she said calmly and fall back to bed. He rolled his eye and grabbed her by waist, pulling her towards him

“Za…den…I only slept at 3 am…please…”he already pulled her out of the bed, into his arms, in a bridal position. She snuggled into his chest earning a low growl from his chest. His body warmth isn’t helping at all as she snoozed a bit more.

“What were you doing till 3am?” he questioned, already reaching from under Selena to twist the bathroom door knob

“Talking with Orion” she said hidden in his chest. Zaden cocked his eyebrow, unsatisfied with her act. He dropped Selena into the bathtub, already filled with water. She struggled to resurface, wiping her face off water

“ZADEN!!!” she shouted

“You have 15minutes to meet me at the yard” He walked towards the door and before getting out of there, he turned his body slightly.

“Don’t force me to give u a bath” he said low making Selena eye widened. She slapped the water making a big chunk splash out to her face and effectively suffocating her again. She got ready as told

and went to the yard, where Zaden was already waiting for her. She had a terrible bag and dark circle under her eye as she yawned.

“Lesson number one, always get enough sleep. As a wolf in front line, you have to be ready at any time” calm but stern. She looked up to him, chin up

“Is that so? I assume you won’t be knocking my room door in the middle of night anymore?” she said with a raised eyebrow and ran past him. He smiled novelbin

“I will try my best…” he mumbled to himself before following her.

It has been two hours since they started running. Orion wasn’t joking when he said Alpha Zaden is tough. He made her run steep hills, jumping over at least 25 fallen trees and running across deep streams. She gave up in the middle of their way back home. She plopped to the ground, flat back and panting for breath. Her thin pink shirt is wet with sweat, showing off her sports bra. Zaden clutched his waist before bending down, offering her his hands so that she can get up. She swatted him away. She already slowed him down a lot today

“You go first, I will come back later…” she said through her breath. He thought for a while and sat next to her

“I can’t leave you alone in the forest. We resume after 10 minutes break” she whimpered at his order.

“Zaden…please…you can sleep in my bed today…” she begged him, still flat on the ground.

“Are you bribing me?” he asked with a frown and she nodded

“Oh lord, you need to learn more than stamina. You don’t bribe the big boss, Selena” she stretched her hand up to his face and fumbled to pinch hold his chin.

She shook it left to right “Honey, you can bribe anyone as long as the bribe is irresistible”.

He bit his lower lips as his eyes glared at her lips “There is a more irresistible bribe but you are too innocent for that” he replied her. A clench in his stomach says that she is about to win.

“Come, you can sit nearby, I need to continue my training. I can’t allow you to weaken me” he scooped her up in his arms and walked away from the clear opening, back to forest

“What is that?” she asked with her arms wrapped around his neck, referring to the bribe. Her ponytail swaying in sync to his movement

“I’m not that stupid, baby girl” he said as he jumped over a tree trunk. They came to a clearing between the woods where another smaller waterfall, probably originating from the mother waterfall she saw months ago. All the other pack leaders are already there. Zaden placed Selena under a tree and jogged to others.

“Sorry, Bambi slowed me down” they chuckled before Zaden signaled to begin the training. Ropes hung from the top of the waterfall which isn’t in view. Zaden took off his shirt, exposing 8 packs that are now glistening with sweat drops. His stomach flat and a beginning of V was visible. His arms bulging even without any stress. All the others except for Makeala had taken off their shirt but Zaden was exceptional, standing out from the crowd. Selena’s mouth parted a little to control her breathing as her eyes raked up and down his body. All 5 stood under the ropes, grabbed it with all force and started climbing up

“Shit” Selena mumbled. She subconsciously stood up from ground and paced slowly towards them. She is expecting someone to fall anytime now, as her hands opened beneath them, as if she could catch them if they fall. She stood there, head up with her eyes squinted against the sunshine as the pack leaders climbed up the rope. Slow and steady, with their arms at full force holding on to the rope and their barefoot entwined with the rope below their body, they pulled themselves up to the top. Then disappeared. Selena stood there, looking at the top intensively, trying to find at least a hint of them. A pair of hands grabbed her shoulder behind her, making her jump.

“Boo!!!” Xavier said at her ears. She turned around

“Where did you come from?” she asked him

“From the stairs behind there” Xavier pointed to the left of the waterfall. Selena looked back and forth between Xavier and the stairs a few times

“Why didn’t you use that in the first place?” they all chuckled

“That is not classified as resistance workout” Sitka said. Selena let out a sheepish laugh

“You don’t expect me to do that, do you?”

“Absolutely yes” Makeala said making her eye widened

“Not today” Zaden said.

“You know what, you guys are just big bad wolfs. Bullies, may I add. Call my grandpa, I’m going with him. He might have more mercy towards me then you guys.” Selena stormed away from there, still rambling curses and statement as she walked into the forest. The leader’s pack followed her with a giggle from behind.

All of a sudden, Selena came to an abrupt stop. She felt a sudden struck in her heart.

“What happen?” Zaden whispered to her ears, as his warm breath fanned her ears. Selena closed her eye, trying to knock the pain in her heart off, while all the others were asking thousand question next to her. She subconsciously muffled all their voices as her ears focused on a sound that she can’t really put her fingers on. She rolled her neck in the most sensuous way with a low moan escaped her lips, disturbing the men’s around her as they swallowed their saliva. She concentrated more and she finally narrowed it down, a snake’s slither. It is a common creature in woods, why is she hearing that?. She

snapped her eye open once she narrowed the location, to her right. She turned her head and Zaden saw her black eye with silver rim. Her wolf is surfacing. Selena walked pass Zaden, her finger’s grazed across his stomach, slow and steady, trying to track the hissing sound in her head. She came to a stop, standing straight in a sexy way, tilted her head to the side with her hands straight by her thighs and a devilish smirk on her face, nothing like the sweet Bambi they knew. A yellow and white phyton, caught in a clump of fallen branches and trees. Selena slowly crouched next to it, with one knee closer to ground. She exerted an order from her heart

‘Remove the logs…’ as if a remote control was switch on, Makeala, Orion, Xavier and Sitka started moving to remove the branches, logs and tree on top of the phyton. Zaden could clearly feel they have disconnected from him, he is not the alpha anymore. Selena was slowly caressing the phyton while her head tilted side. A hint of lust in her eyes. The more logs removed, it came clear that there were another black phyton below. The yellow and white was wailing for help to save her mate and Selena knew it, as she felt the raging lust they had at the moment. The team stood up, observing the situation when Zaden sense them reconnect and mindlinked them to leave. They followed. The phytons slowly encircled Selena’s legs. Zaden was alarmed and took a step forward when Selena turned her head behind to look at Zaden, another devilish smirk bloom on the corner of her lips, stopping Zaden at his spot. The phyton let out slither after slither as it kept circling up and up. Her breathing hiked up, her chest rose and fall and her eyes shut as the phytons transferred their lust to her. Zaden grabbed a branch above his head and held it tight, controlling himself from pouncing on to her. She rolled her neck, let out a sensuous giggled and went on biting her lower lips as the black python’s body grazed her inner thigh. Zaden breathed heavily as he felt a clench down his butt and his manhood is erect now. She watched with the signature smirk as the 2 creature slithered on further and further away from them. Her eye faded back to light grey and the smirk vanished.
