Chapter 4

It has been 2 weeks after our argument, though the next morning he apologizes to me. I am in my best friend Annie's house now, she has come back, the next day when I told her that Jack slaps me I called her and explain everything to her because I need someone to talk to and I can't tell my parent or my Aunt. So she came back because of me and right now I am in her house, you will be thinking about Jack, well he is at work now and I am supposed to be at work also but I get one day leave without him knowing.

"So babe (that is the nickname Annie calls me) you said you always feel tired or sometimes you don't appetite of eating and sometimes you throw up, hmmm babe when last did you have your period?" she said

"Wait, wait, I think I am screwed, you are right it has been a long time," I said

She quickly gets up and said I should wait that she is coming back now" she said and went out.

After 20 minutes she came back with 3 different pregnancy test kits and told me to try it but in my mind, I wish I should not be pregnant, I don’t why but I don’t want it now. I collect them from her and get inside the bathroom and use the kit and after 3 or 5 minutes, the result is out but I am scared to check it and I gave them to Annie to check and she nods her head positively.

"What am I going to do now?" I ask

"First you need to see an OB/GYN to get to check up and then see what happen next," she said

I told her if I can go now because I am feeling weak, If I can get any medicine for that, she drives me to a nearby hospital and I get an appointment, the receptionist told me that I should wait for my turn.

After some minutes I heard my name called I follow the nurse and tell my friend to follow me inside, I know it is Jack that supposed to follow me but I want to confirmed very well before I tell him. When we

get inside the doctor's office, we saw a woman in a doctor's coat and she welcomes us and told us to have our seats. novelbin

"Hello I am Doctor Emily, nice to meet you, Miss Bella," she said wondering who Bella is among us.

"Hi, Doctor Emily, nice to me you too, I am Bella and this is my friend Annie," I said and she greets my friend

"What are your complains?" She said and get her note or note pad I don't know and start writing something as I told her about my complaint.

"I am feeling tired and dizzy for some weeks now and I did a pregnancy test with the kit and it is positive, so I want to confirm not be a false alarm," I said faking a smile

She said ok and starts to ask more questions about my health and all that and she runs a series of tests.

"Congratulations Miss Bella, you are 6 weeks pregnant and everything is alright with you and the baby, she said and prescribe medicine for me.

She explains how I will take them and other necessary things, we left and head to the pharmacy to get the medicines.

"So where did you want me to go? Should I drop you home?" Annie said while driving

"No, take me to your house and please order pizza for me," I said, the earlier I accept my situation the better

She drives to her place and we already get the pizza, after finishing the food and we sit down to talk

"I am keeping this baby, even if Jack did not want it or happy about it," I said I don't know where the courage comes from but I am sure that everything will be alright by the grace of God.

"That’s good babe, no matter what I will be with you," she said

I decide to keep the conversation about the baby short because I don’t want to think about anything that will stress me or my baby. So we decide to watch movies until the time for me to go home.

When I get home as usual I cook dinner and Jack came back from work and heads to the bathroom to freshen up. After dinner I went to him he is in the bedroom with his phone.

"Jack please can I have some minutes of your time," I said sitting on the bed beside him

"Ok, I am all ears" dropping his phone by the bedside table

"Jack, I have been feeling tired for some time now and today it is not good at all, so I went to see the doctor and it was confirmed that I am 6 weeks pregnant," I said he stand up immediately and what he said next made me feel like I should jump on him and scratch his face with my nails

"WHAT! Not a good time, I mean I am happy of course but not now, we still have a lot to do like our wedding and I invest in some business recently, with my salary now how can we cope with the baby?" he said running his hand through his hair

"Jack so what are now telling me to do" He never mentions to me that he invest in some business.

"I mean ….. I want you to ……. I mean I am happy but now I invest in some business now so if we ……… can" I did not let him finish his statement

"Jack I can't abort this baby if that is what you are trying to say and wait what business are you talking about because you never mention anything about business to me in this house?" I asked him

"I will tell you but not now and I did not tell you to abort the baby, I mean that how come, how did that happen," He said I think this guy is crazy is like I should slap him maybe it will reset his brain.

"Jack you are asking me how it happens, well I will tell you if your brain is not in its right position. Baby or pregnancy happens when you have sex and you and I did a lot of that" I reply him but I don’t know what push to be talking to him like that, I can't just say I am regretting that I know this guy, the person that gives him the name Jack made a big mistake, the person should have named him "Jerk" instead of "Jack" because he is such a jerk.

"I know we had sex bit I mean you are on birth control and I use a condom and whenever we don’t use a condom I try to pull out, it is not the right time at all," He said

"I don't know what you are telling me to do but I am not going to abort this baby and secondly I will not stop working anytime soon whether you like it or not since your salary is going to the business you are doing, I am taking the responsibility of this baby because I can't abort it," I said

"I did not say you should abort it but … I mean …….. I am just saying that it is not the right time" he said

"You must be stupid then because I don’t think you know what you are saying, I don't understand what you trying to say but either you want this baby or not either you are happy about it or not I am going to have this baby and that is final. I went to the guest room and cry my eyes out.

My phone ring and I see that it is my friend that sends me a message, I reply to her and explain what Jack said and he tries to calm me down. Jack cannot hear what I am saying because I know his mind is not settled right now because he will kill me if he knows I am talking to my friend.

"Annie I don't know what to do, I think if I told him about the baby he will be happy maybe things will change that he is going to be a father but he said it is not yet time, when will it the right time to have a baby? We are engaged about to get married" I said tears rolling down my eyes

"Bella please no matter what happen just believe that one day everything will be alright and stop crying just thinks of your baby, you should sleep now we will talk tomorrow," She said and I said ok.

We said our goodbyes, I cry more and drifted to sleep.
