Chapter 22

Chapter 22 Serina Lends a Hand

Kaitlin thought it would be simple to fire Ainsley, a cleaner.

“What will happen to Ainsley if she offends you?”

When Ainsley and Kaitlin were arguing, some students stopped to watch. A clear female voice

suddenly came from them.

Serina pushed her way in from the crowd. When she found Kaitlin arguing with Ainsley, Serina could

not help but frown.

Although the Baldry family wasn’t that wealthy, they were a little influential in Seattle. As a Baldry,

Kaitlin always played the bully in school. But Kaitlin behaved herself before Serina in the past, so

Serina didn’t bother to deal with her. At that moment, however, Kaitlin had actually offended

Ainsley.

Although Serina had only met Ainsley once, she liked Ainsley very much at first glance. That was why

when she sa

Ainsley troubled by Kaitlin, Serina stood up without any hesitation.

Kaitlin was clearly stunned when she saw Serina.

Kaitlin wondered why Serina knew Ainsley.

Serina was the apple of the Gage family’s eye. Kaitlin had always wanted to make friends with Serina

at University of Washington, but Serina had never paid much attention to her. Serina was said to be novelbin

very quiet and did not like to make friends. How did Ainsley get to know Serina?

“Good for you, Ainsley. You’re really good at currying favor with the powerful.” Kaitlin did not dare to

offend Serina and continued to mock Ainsley.

Serina furrowed her brow. Before Ainsley could speak, Serina stood in front of Ainsley, blocking Kaitlin

from looking at Ainsley. “Explain it, Kaitlin. Why did you say Ainsley flatter the powerful?”

Kaitlin found that Serina was clearly protecting Ainsley, and Kaitlin’s expression changed. In the end,

Kaitlin still put on a flattery smile.

“Serina, be careful. Don’t be deceived by this scheming woman. Back then, my brother did not like her,

but she played a trick and married into my family. Fortunately, my brother is clear-headed. For the sake

of his true love, he has never touched this woman. Now his true love has returned, and

this woman has been kicked out.”

As Kaitlin said this, she seemed to have understood something and showed some disdain.

“She’s divorced, and there’s nothing she can do about it. That’s why she’s now on your side. If I’m not

wrong, Serina, it’s you who helped her get the job at University of Washington, right?”

“Shut up! Kaitlin, don’t look down on everyone.”

Serina was a bit angry. She could not bear to see her beloved Ainsley being so belittled. Serina

continued to argue back.

“First of all, Ainsley got the job at University of Washington by herself. Second, your brother even

married Ainsley when he had true love. When his true love came back, he dumped Ainsley. He’s simply

a **/*.”

Ainsley looked at Serina who stood in front of her and protected her. Ainsley was a little touched.

After all, she had only met Serina once. Ainsley didn’t expect that Serina would protect her like this.

However, even Serina could see that Cason was ****. Back then, Cason said to Ainsley that “She’s

gone. If you want, I can marry you”. How could Ainsley marry him just because of this?
