Chapter 5 She Is Your Wife

As Cason was thinking, a pair of warm hands gently held him. He turned his head and Kaliyah

looked at him with concern. “Cason, is there something wrong with your stomach? Do you want to have some soup?”

Cason shook his head.

After Ainsley greeted Mathew, she quietly pulled out a chair and sat down, ignoring their interaction.

Cason looked at her beautiful and fair face under the light, and his face suddenly darkened.

Mathew was silent for a long time before he said gloomily, “The Baldry family has let you down.”

Ainsley paused and smiled without saying a word.

Seeing that Mathew had calmed down, Ainsley thought for a moment before leaving.

Kaliyah said gently, “Cason, go upstairs and comfort Grandpa. He has always liked Ms. Easton. He must be very sad now.”

After sending Kaliyah off, Cason went to the study to see Mathew, who was brewing tea.
