Chapter 27: 27) Another failed attempt!

FLORINA'S POV

I could feel myself freezing in my place when I saw them.

Vincenzo was sitting quietly on the chair while crossing his legs and Sebastian was sitting across vincenzo relaxed, he has taken off his coat which was resting on his chair.

Adrenaline rushed in my body when they both looked at me at the same time, the grey and amber eyes. So beautiful yet so dangerous. I couldn't read them, they were looking calm but Angry at the same time. I should run, that's the first thought in my mind but it's of no use, they have caught me.

I shouldn't have trust Maria...

I waited for them to do something, to say something but they didn't. Why Sebastian isn't lashing out on me, he should right?. I am sure I have given him enough reasons. I don't know what to expect from vincenzo, he is always so calm and unpredictable. They just stared at me which is making me more anxious.

"Good morning everyone..."

I looked at the person who greeted everyone with joyful voice.

My eyebrows automatically scrunched together when I saw the same lady from other night, entering the dinning hall like she owns the house. Who is she, from the aura she looks quite important.

She gave me small smile while I just stood there confused.

"Hello, I am Catherine..."

Well that's not helping much, should I ask her who is she to them. Will it be rude?

Catherine towered over me as she waited for my reply. She is tall and with the High heels she is wearing I had to look up to meet her gaze.

"Florina..."

"Hmm... I know, you have made yourself known... Quite a Beauty I must say..."

She gave me smirk and I swear it's not good at all. I could tell she doesn't like me, well I don't care either. Who is she anyway?.

I am a friendly person but I don't like people like Catherine who started taunting me for no reason, I don't think she has a reason to do that.

Catherine looked at Sebastian and vincenzo and smiled, this time her smile was genuine like she has found a treasure.

She went towards them and kissed vincenzo's cheek and he greeted her back too with mad look, he almost looked cute with sulking face.

Shut up Florina... He is not cute.

She also kissed Sebastian's cheek but he stayed silent, he neither stopped her nor payed attention.

"Why are you standing there florina... Come sit..."

Catherine said as she sat down on the chair.

I walked towards the table and sat down leaving two chairs between me and vincenzo. Don't blame me I am maintaining a safe distance, god knows when they loose it and shoot me dead.

"So florina... How was your night. I hope you slept well..."

She asked with smile but why I can't find any sweetness in that. It feels like she trying to judge me, I could see suspicion in her eyes very clearly.

Why would she care if I slept well or not___

Wait! Is this her house. Oh my god! Is she Maria's mother. It means she is Sebastian's stepmother...

"Yes I slept well... Thank you..."

I forced a smile.

Catherine nodded and tried to say something or start a conversation but vincenzo interrupted her saying something in Italian.

I wish I could understand that, I am loosing so much information.

Catherine glared at vincenzo and he seemed like he doesn't give a fuck while Sebastian was glaring at the food.

What's the fuck is exactly going on.

As much I know vincenzo and Sebastian are the enemies and they shouldn't be in one house. Not at the dinning table at least. And why Sebastian's stepmother behaving like she knows vincenzo better. This is really very confusing.

Catherine and vincenzo exchanged few words in Italian and she sighed in defeat.

"Fine... We will talk in my office..."

"Sebastian why aren't you eating anything son... Please eat, i have specially prepared everything for you..."

She said sweetly just like my mother used to talk to me. At least by her tone I don't think she treats Sebastian different from her own child.

But when Catherine talked to Sebastian vincenzo scoffed and glared at Sebastian while Sebastian just Smirked. What the hell is their problem. Sebastian didn't said anything to Catherine, not even a smile but started eating and her face filled with happiness. She also filled vincenzo's Plate with food.

"I think you should eat too... You must be tired of running all the night..."

Vincenzo said looking straight in my eyes and that's it, all my hunger flew out of the window. He is mocking me.

"I a_am not hungry..."

Stop with stuttering florina, for God sake.

I have to find Maria, what she was thinking god knows. I want my answers.

I tried to stand up but__

"Sit the fuck down..."

Why Sebastian's voice is so scary. He looks more handsome when he doesn't talk.

I sat down with awkward expressions and Catherine seems to enjoy my condition. She is looking at us with amused smile. Vincenzo took a empty plate and placed some food on it, Sebastian took the plate from him or should I say snatched and he too filled it with food and placed in front of me.

"Thank you so much but I guess I need to talk to Maria... Excuse me please..."

Okay good florina, Now stand up and run.

Sebastian looked at me and damn it's not a good look.

"Maria... Right. I want to meet her too... Why don't you finish this first, I think you need your energy for what's coming for you..."

Is it a threat? of course it is. I knew they won't let it go that easily. Okay let's eat then, everyone has to die one day. You are doomed Florina.

I started eating and they did too. Catherine stood up with grin and clapped her hand. Don't know why this woman is so happy, what's happy in this day. I don't know may be she is already celebrating my doom.

"Let's go to my office... Florina why don't you find Maria, she must be in the garden... Martine will guide you."

She pointed towards the guard standing near the door.

What they are going to talk about, I really want to know but how?

"Umm... Okay."

I turned around but was quickly swirled around. My front collided with Sebastian's and he captured my lips. His hands pulled me closer by waist and it didn't took me a second to melt in his embrace, his cologne is so addictive.

"You are definitely getting punished, butterfly... Just wait..."

He whispered in my ear, I don't think anyone has heard him except me.

He let me go and walked away. Soon I was engulfed by another one. Vincenzo grabbed back of my head and slammed his lips on mine. He bit and suck on my lips like he is trying to erase Sebastian's

touch from there.

I don't know how I am going to deal with this two men.

"How dare you, piccolo... How dare you try to escape. Let me deal with this shit first and then I'll break your legs..."

He threatened sending shivers in my body.

He walked away and Catherine followed him after giving me a amused look. What's so amusing, I don't understand this lady at all. If he broke my legs then how I am going to do my work, I am a reporter. I need my legs. God please save me.

Where the fuck is Maria... I swear I'm gonna kill her.

Mr. Martine lead me towards the garden and there she is, enjoying the view like a queen of castel after making my life hell.

"Maria... Maria..."

"Hey... Hii. How was your morning..."

Oww, look at her trying to be so innocent.

"You played me. How could you Maria?... I trusted you and you lied to me. They are here..."

I yelled at her and she just stood there like nothing has happened.

"Florina calm down... Everything will be okay. Trust me..."

"Okay ?... How, please enlighten me. How everything is gonna be, okay..."

She bit her lower lip trying to think something or may be to come up with a good lie. I swear I am not gonna fall for it again.

"I am sorry Florina... I can't tell you anything it might create chaos. You will learn everything step by step okay..."

"What learn?... Do you know that vincenzo and Sebastian are here, under one roof. I don't understand what's going on. Who is Catherine..."

I asked and she just stood there.

"Umm.. I think I got a call, please excuse me."

She picked up her phone. Is she serious.

"Maria ?..."

"Sorry florina... It's important, I'll talk to you later... Bye."

She waved her hand and hurriedly walked away. She purposely did that, she doesn't want to answer me.

What should I do now. I am not staying here, I am gonna find way out. The garden is beautiful and the mansion is surrounded by the big wall. If I climbed on the tree and jumped the other side I might make it out.

"Excellent..."

I ran towards the room Maria gave me last night and Changed into joggers and t-shirt. novelbin

Walking towards the garden I found a tree which can help me to escape, I am not gonna run now. It's just a trial, I don't know what's behind the compound or if I can make it or not. lets just see if I can or

not.

Making sure that no one watching me I started climbing the tree. Yeah, years of experience. I love my profession.

I successfully climbed the tree and all my hopes died down when I saw the height, it's almost 14 ft. If I jumped on the other side I'll definitely break one of my bone.

Looks like I need to find something else.

I tried to get down but gasped and clutched on the branch tightly when I stepped on the branch and it broke and fell down creating a gap between the two branches.

How do I get down now... I am stuck and if Vincenzo and Sebastian find out that I was trying to escape again then even god can't save me...
