''Good day Alpha'' I greeted

He walked forward with his hands behind his back. I gulped. Boy am I in trouble.

''Tell me Carla, what's good about the day?''

I kept silent

''ANSWER ME!'' he growled

I looked at the ground in fear

''I-i-i-i-I don't know''

He chuckled slightly

''Who is he?'' He asked

''Who?''

He grabbed me by my neck and pushed me roughly against the wall.

I whimpered not wanting to aggravate him more

''Who is he?'' he growled

''Who?''

His grip on my neck tightened. I struggled for air

''Lie to me, I dare you''

''I don't know who you're talking about''

''The boy who dropped you off earlier''

''That's Jake. He's new at school''

''Why did I see him giving you a piece of paper?"

He can never know that Jake gave me his number or else i'm dead.

''We're friends Alpha''

''What pack is he in?''

He removed his hand making me fall to the floor. I held my neck gasping for air

''Why did he drop you off?''

''No reason" I choked "he just wanted to help''

I looked up at him in disbelief. What?

''Cause I say so, if I see you two together I will rip his throat off his neck. So, if you care about him, I

suggest you tell him. Is that clear?''

I restrained the tears from coming. Just when I thought I made a friend now this happens

''Good, go back to the dungeon''

I stood up, bowed my head and went on my way

As I walked down the hallway, I bumped into the beta

''Good day Beta''

''Hey Carla. No need to be so formal towards me. Call me Eric''

''Yeah. Its not to hard to pronounce, is it?'' He teased

I laughed

''No, it isn't"

''WHAT ARE YOU DOING?'' A voice boomed behind us

It was Alpha Damien

''I – I was talking to Eric'' I explained

''I thought I told you to go to the dungeon''

''Chill out dude we were just having a conversation'' Eric said

"You will speak to me with respect Eric"

''Whatever." he rolled his eyes "nice talking to you Carla''

He then walked away

''You will not disrespect me'' Damien shouted at me

I made my way to the dungeon. It was dark as usual, your typical thing. Creepy bugs, one window high

up, spider webs everywhere.

I sat down and sighed as I remembered a song I always heard when I was little

I hummed the beat

I heard there was a secret chord

That David played and then pleased the Lord

But you don't really care for music, do ya?

When it goes like this the fourth the fifth

The minor fall and the major lift

The babbled king composing Hallelujah

I smiled after I finished singing replaying Jake's words in my head

Don't worry Carla it'll be over soon

I sighed in relief

Maybe it was just my imagination but before I drifted to sleep, I swear I heard a voice say to me
