Chapter 11

Damien's P.O.V

I was in my office sorting out some files

Where's that coming from? Whoever's playing that sure has some guts.

Everyone knows I don't like to be disturbed. I groaned as I got up. I walked out of my office and down

the corridor following the sound.

I finally reached the room and opened it. It was Carla dancing. She had her back to me so she didn't

notice I was standing there.

I leaned against the wall and watched her.

I watched how her body moved to the rhythm. I just stood there admiring her curves. She was wearing

a crop top ..or isn't that what they call it? It covered only the upper part of her stomach with black tight

leggings.

And at the end of the night

When the lights go out

She started doing a dance I see Eric do a lot. I think its called the shmoney.. yeah that's it. Her moves

matched the song perfectly

Carla’s P.O.V

I heard clapping. I turned around to see Alpha Damien leaning against the wall

"Nice one. i never knew you had it in you"

Oh my god. I wanted faint on the spot right there and then

'I'm sorry Alpha, I know I'm not supposed to be here'

"Then tell me, why are you here?"

"I came to get my clothes for tomorrow"

"I heard the music and I couldn't help but dance"

"No one .I learnt how to dance myself"

He moved closer to me. He pushed me gently against the wall and put both hands on either side of my

body...trapping me

He leaned down to capture my lips in a very sweet kiss...my first kiss. His lips tasted like vanilla; my

favourite flavour

He used his teeth to bite my bottom lip. I opened up allowing his tongue access to my mouth. I felt

butterflies in my stomach, sparks flew everywhere. The electricity pulsing through my veins

He held my waist pulling me closer to him. I put my arms around his neck. I moaned as the kiss

became deeper and more intense.

Our tongues dancing together. Him touching me in places I could never imagine. It felt like heaven.

My core became hot because of all the touching we were doing

Suddenly he pulled away. We were both breathing heavily

We stared at each other for a while. I swear I could see something in his deep blue eyes.

I smiled

His face got serious immediately. It was as if he made a huge mistake

"Go back to the dungeon" he ordered

He left banging the door behind hi

Alpha Damien's P.O.V

I ran my hand through my hair in frustration. I was doing good before until she came around. I paced

round the room thinking.

Why can't I forget about that kiss?

Why did she make me feel like this?

I heard my door open. Lucy came in

"You said you wanted to see me, alpha"

"Yeah I uh"

I cleared my throat. I was hard already ..........all because of her

"Yes Alpha?"

"I just wanted you to take these files for me"

She came to the table where the books were

"Whatever you want to do is fine with me Alpha"

"Oh really?"

She smirked

"Really"

I bent her over the table and raised her skirt up. I reached over to massage her breasts nibbling on her

earlobe.

"When you get to school tomorrow, I want you to do something"

I unbuckled my belt and took my pants off

"Sure...ohh...what is it"

She moaned as I entered her from behind

"I want you to find out who Jake is"

"Is that all?"

"Make sure he doesn't get near my mate"

Carla's P.O.V

I was in the kitchen trying to call Jake with the house phone

"Come on. Come on" I mumbled

I'm taking a risk here. What if someone saw me? Or worse, Alpha Damien.

I just needed to hear Jake's soothing voice to calm me down. He was so friendly to me and I felt

comfortable around him.

He picked up on the fifth ring

"Hello?"

Thank goodness

"Hey Jake. Its me Carla"

"Oh hey. How are you?'

"I'm good. I just wanted to say hi"

"Oh thanks. You good?"'

I heard footsteps behind me

"Yes. I'll see you at school tomorrow. I have to go'

''Why? I want to talk to you"

"I have something urgent to do" i lied

"Oh Okay. Bye then"

"Bye

I hung up and put the phone in its usual place

'Who were you talking to?'

I froze in my spot. I'm so dead. At first i thought it was Damien but his voice isn't that friendly.

I turned around to see Eric bouncing a basketball

I sighed in relief

"Eric, its you. Thank the moon goddess"

"Who did you expect?"

"Alpha Damien"

He chuckled

"Its funny how you call your mate Alpha" he shook his head "Anyway you haven't answered my

question"

"That was my friend from school"

"A boy?"

"Yes - please don't tell Alpha about this. I beg you''

I sighed in relief

"Its alright. I'm not a snitch"

"Thank you so much"

I was about to leave but what he said made me stop dead in my tracks.

"You do know he loves you right" Eric said

"Who?"

"Damien, right from the moment he saw you"

I laughed, thinking he was joking but his face was dead serious

"Oh you're serious?" I asked him

He nodded

"How do you know that?" I questioned

"We're basically brothers" he explained "We tell each other everything. Well he didn't tell me this but I

know"

"If he loves me, why is he being mean to me?"

"He's trying to fight his feelings for you because of what happened with Maria"

"Who's Maria?"

"His ex girlfriend...sorta"

It broke my heart to hear he was with someone else before me

"What happened?"

"Its not in my position to tell you that"

"Oh"

"You really like him, don't you?"

"I do although he's really mean; I can't help but like him. He is my mate; the pull is there"

I confirmed my feelings after he kissed me a few hours ago

"Tell him how you feel then"

"He isn't making it easy for me" I mumbled

I told him everything, all about the kiss. He was surprised

"How was it? Tell me" Eric teased

I laughed and sighed dreamily

"It was everything i imagined my first kiss would be. I never knew he could be so gentle and sweet"

"Tell him how you feel"

"Yup before you chicken out"

"Thanks"

I gave him a hug. He held me by my waistnovelbin

"Anytime''

I pulled away

"Showtime!"

He laughed

I walked upstairs to Alpha Damien's office. I opened the door and entered

"Hey I wanna tell you something...." I started

I almost fainted at the sight I saw. Damien was having sex with Lucy on the table. I stumbled

backwards but Eric caught me. I didn't even know he was there

"Just came to give you support but instead I saw this" Eric said

They stopped when they heard us. Lucy covered her boobs. Damien pulled out, wore his pants and

faced us

"What are you doing here?" he growled

"I-I-I wanted to tell you something" I stuttered

"You aren't supposed to be here"

"That doesn't change what happened" I shouted for the first time in my life

"If you were in the dungeon you wouldn't have seen what you saw"

"Really man, that's your excuse?" Eric screamed

"GET OUT"

"Gladly. I'm so sorry Carla"

I nodded as he left. Lucy gave me an evil smile but all I could see was red. I don't know what came

over me.

I don't care whether she's his mistress. I don't care about what relationship they had before I came into

his life but that is my mate and seeing what I just saw almost made me run mad.

I ran and lunged at her making her fall to the ground. I got on top of her and used my hands to grip her

neck. She started screaming, I didn't care. I reigned punches on her. My claws came out automatically.

I used them to scratch her body. It was as if something else took over me.

I was pulled up by Damien. She stood up. Her face was red and filled with bruises. He went to her side

"Are you okay?'' he asked

"No, I'm not thanks to that worthless THING!"

"Me? Worthless?" I shouted " You're the one sleeping with someone else's mate'

"Watch your tongue" he snapped

"You're a pathetic little bitch" she screamed

I stomped out of the room. I couldn't care less. All I knew was I had to get out of here

Damien's P.O.V

I was laying on my bed looking at the ceiling. I tried sleeping but every time I close my eyes I saw

Carla's beautiful face. I hate feeling guilty but its eating me up alive

Its not my fault I'm like this. As you can guess I've been hurt in the past

Maria

The name brought shivers down my spine

She was my world

She was my everything

She was the woman I loved

*flashback*

Maria and I were lying on my bed. She's been looking sad all day. I pulled her closer to me

'Baby what’s wrong?" I asked

"Nothing"

"Talk to me please"

"Its just that my mom is sick and I'm broke"

She buried her face in my chest crying

"Why didn't you tell me? I'll send the money to her tomorrow or I'll give it to you"

She raised her head up to look at me

I kissed her forehead

*The next day

I had sent a lot of money to Maria's account for her mother's cancer treatment and also for her to get

away for some time. I was just coming back from the bank

"Maria?’ “I called entering the room. I looked all over the place; she was nowhere to be found

I saw a gift box on my bed. I went towards it and picked it up. I opened it, it was a metal. I fell as soon

as I touched it screaming in agony

It literally burnt a hole in my skin. I saw a paper in her handwriting

Before then I was in control because she gave me love. She kept me calm. She was able to tame the

monster in me. How was she able to do it? I don't know till this very day

Ever since then I became someone else. The amount of innocent blood I've shed is enough to make

me go insane.

Later, I found out that she had gotten married to her mate in Paris. Apparently, she used the money I

gave her to run away and start a new life with him.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door

"Come in"

Eric entered

"Alpha there's a problem"

"What is it?"

"Carla is gone"

Carla's P.O.V

I ran all the way through the forest in my wolf form. My wolf began whimpering

''Slow down" she complained

''We're almost there''

A few minutes later I arrived. I laid down on my back and looked at the Stars in the sky

''We're here'' I said

''Its beautiful''

''See, it was worth the run''

There was complete silence for a while

''I wish our mate was here with us'' she added

A tear slipped from my cheek

''Yes, he does, he just doesn't know how to show it''

Before she could finish, I blocked her out of my mind.

I love to come here; it was a half moon but still the sky looked lovely. I sighed sadly

Damien's P.O.V

''Argghhhh'' I screamed as I threw the vase on the floor

''Slow down'' Eric said from behind me

''How do you expect me to do that? My mate is missing''

''I wonder whose fault that is?''

I turned around to face him

''What did you say?''

''You heard me. Why are you acting like you care anyway? She deserves better than a mate who treats

her like trash"

I punched a hole in the wall, my breathing increasing by the second

''I know''

Eric sat down on the bent couch I destroyed. I pulled at my hair in frustration

''Where could she be?'' I asked

''You're asking me?''

My tracker, Joe came in

''Any sign of her?'' I asked

''No alpha''

I grabbed him by the collar lifting him off the ground

''What do you mean no sign of her?''

He started choking

''My men and I searched everywhere. No sign sir I swear''

''Dude, let the guy go'' Eric said

I flung him across the room

''Get out''

He quickly bowed and left the room

I sat down beside Eric with my head in my hands

''I'm such a fool'' I lamented

''Wow I'm surprised''

''How long it took for you to realize it''

''Please tell me the truth Eric. Do you know where she is?''

I sighed

I clenched my fists tightly at the thought

I let out a deep breath

''I loved her from the first day I ever set my eyes on her. When I had dinner with her father. The way

she nervously held her fork when she ate, the innocent look on her face. Her mesmerizing blue eyes

when they locked with mine.... I just I don't know. I'm scared''

I didn't even notice when the tears started falling. if anything happened to her I don't know what I’ll

do...I can't live with the guilt

Eric hugged me as I cried while patting my back
