I hummed as I passed through the hallway smiling. I did a little spin before I continued walking. People

stared at me with confused expressions, some were whispering but I didn't care at all.

I stopped at my locker and brought out my books.

''Hey''

I turned to my right, it was Jake

''Hello" I said "Lovely day, isn't it''

He chuckled

''You're in a good mood'

''Isn't it obvious?''

''Tell me, what's the secret''

''Yeah what is the secret?'' A voice asked

It was Rachel and her train. I groaned and closed my locker

''What do you want now?'' I asked

''Nothing. I just wanna know what could possibly make my sister happy. I want some of it too''

''I would love to stay here but Jake and I have to get to class''

She looked at him

''Oh the cute new boy''

Before she could continue I dragged him till we reached our first class. We sat down at the front row

''What was that all about?'' he asked

''It's complicated trust me''

''So she's your sister''

''Yeah''

''You two seem very...''

A girl entered the classroom holding a piece of paper

''Carla?'' she called

Me? Why is she calling me name? I don't even know her.

''yes'' I replied

She walked over to me and handed me the piece of paper

''What's this?'' I asked

''A letter''

''From?''

''You'll see''

She smiled at me then left. I opened the letter

I was so into the note that I forgot about Jake

He slammed his fists on the table. Everyone's eyes were on us

He got up and left banging the door behind him

I was walking down the corridor using my eyes to search for Jake. I didn't see him in any other class

and School was over

''Carla wait up''

I knew who it was

''Just leave me alone'' I said trying to pretend that I didn't care

I continued until he grabbed my hand and pulled me back

''I'm sorry for the way I acted in class''

I sighed

''You're welcome but I don't get why you went off like that''

'Its because i..I know we haven't known each other long but I... "

I rolled my eyes. Could Damien get anymore petty?

''Its time for us to go . I'll see you tomorrow Jake''

We walked outside to the parking lot. Jake was still standing there but I paid it no mind

We stopped at his car

''I'm picking my mate up from school''

He opened the door for me to get in which I did. He went to the other side and did the same

A few seconds later we were on our way

''So how was school?''

''School was great, your day?''

''Wasn't complete, but it is now''

''Any ideas on what to do when we get home?''
