I was outside sitting on the sidewalk in the cold night hugging my knees to my chest. I could hear the

loud music coming from my sister's room. The giggles, laughter, talking and more. It was obvious they

'AWW' Raven said "I'm sorry I really had to pee and the flush system wasn't really working so I thought,

"Don't worry" Rita shouted "Urine makes your hair grow. Its also healthy for the skin" she said laughing

"You should be thanking us" Roli said

"Oh, my poor sister, I should've stopped them but where's the fun in that? Right guys?"

They closed the window, curtains and put off the lights

I sat back down and watched the road as cars passed by.

Suddenly, a red Rolls Royce pulled up at my driveway. Who could it be? And why is the person here so

late?

Alpha Damien came out from the car.

When he saw me, a look of confusion came across his beautiful face. I don't blame him. I'd look the

same way if I saw someone outside in the middle of the night dripping with pee.

"What are you doing outside?" he asked

"Its a long story alpha" I murmured

“I forgot my phone. I came back to get it. Come on let’s go"

"They won't let me"

We went to the door and knocked

"Who is it?" My mum asked from inside

The door opened. We both went inside. My dad was in the living room watching TV but stood up

immediately he saw us

"Alpha with all due respect what are you doing here at this time?" my dad asked

"I forgot my phone, have you seen it?"

"No, I haven't. what about you Marie?" he was referring to my mom

"I haven't either" she replied

Rachel came to the room with her friends

"Mom we heard voices what’s going on...oh hi alpha"

She glared at me

"What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay outside dog

"I said she could come inside" Alpha Damien said

"Oh, I didn't know"

"Rachel, have you seen the alpha's phone?" my dad asked

She and her friends looked at each other and started whispering

"What the hell is happening?" Damien's voice boomed loudly across the living room "Don't get me

wrong I'm not poor. I can get 10 phones in a day but I have vital information in that device. Bring it out

or I’ll rip your heads off one by one" he growled

"Uh I've seen it" Rachel said

She brought it out of her pocket and handed it to him

"I apologize alpha"

"Where are you taking her?" my dad asked

"To my pack house"

I've finally found my soulmate. Our eyes locked in a steady eye contact. It seemed like time had

stopped....as if everything was in slow motion. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever.

"Uh do you guys know each other or something?" Rachel asked

"No, she just...she- she looks familiar" he said still staring at me

Rachel rolled her eyes and mumbled "I'm all dressed up yet she's the one who looks familiar"

"Alright let’s eat then" my mom said

We all sat down at the table. My mouth almost watered at the sight of food. I can't remember the last

time I ate a proper meal. I wish visitors could be coming over more often. It gives me a chance to eat.

Of course, my dad wants to seem like a good person in front of the guests. That's the only reason why

I'm here.

Rachel sat beside Alpha Damien while I sat across them.

Alpha Damien and my dad started discussing about pack matters. Every now and then we would

glance at each other and I would feel butterflies in my stomach at the sight of him but he always looked

away. I became a little scared.

Did he not want me?

Does he think I'm ugly?

Does he prefer my sister?

Am I dressed wrongly?

Am I not up to his expectations?

Am I below his standards?

I began to think about all these questions.

After everyone was done, I got up and packed the plates to the kitchen and started washing them up as

usual. I was about to get a napkin to clean the sink until Alpha Damien blocked my path.

I was a little frightened. I didn't even see him come in.

"Where do you think you're going?" he asked

His voice sent shivers down my spine. Everything felt so surreal. I looked up at him as his figure

towered over mine. He could practically break me if he wanted to.

I whimpered in fear.

"Nowhere" I whispered

He moved forward. I took two steps back but it was no use.

"Have you heard about me?"

"Do you want love?"

"The rumours you heard about me are true so you can throw any thought of love out the window.

You're mine now, there's nothing you can do about it. Is that understood?'

After Alpha Damien left, I couldn't get his words out of my mind. I was busy washing the remaining

plates in the kitchen while everyone was doing whatever they were doing.

I rinsed my hands then looked at her. Why is she being so nice to me? She definitely wants something.

"What were you and Alpha Damien talking about earlier?"

I finished up the remaining plates and went upstairs. I laid on my bed deciding to rest a little.

About fifteen minutes later I heard my door open. I sat up. Rachel entered my room.

"Do you need anything?" I asked her

"Apparently I do, there's been a change of plans"

"About what?"

"My friends are coming over for a sleepover and I really don't want you around"

"Okay I'll stay in my room"

"I don't want you around means I want you out of the house"

"Where do you expect me to go?"

"I don't know'" she shrugged "Go crash at a friend's place or something"

"I don't have any friends" I whispered
