Chapter 18: Mount Krolo

As always, as soon as the sun rises, my eyes shot open. I wasn't even surprised anymore that i had

woken up even before the alarm clock rang.

6 am.

I got up quickly and prepared to head to the training grounds. It was my first day as beta after all. But

when i arrived at the location, i was surprised to see no one present but Easton.

"Looks like your squad doesn't like you." Alpha Derek says, appearing from behind.

I furrowed my eyebrows and turned to him, "They're kids. And they don't wake up this early anyway."

"They're not stupid. Since i appointed you as Beta, they should know pack training is as early as 6am.

If this is how you're getting treated by your squad. They you'd better work hard to earn their loyalty

huh?"

"You're not gonna help me?"

"It's your squad, solve it on your own." He then leaves.

I sighed. Much as i hate to admit it, it's obvious that they don't approve of me being the beta. At the

corner, Easton was nervously avoiding my eyes as he stood in line.

I slowly approached him, "Easton? Care to tell me why you're here without anyone else?"

"...."

"Easton." I called firmly, "Answer me right now."

I wasn't in a good mood. Much more, when my mate blatantly made fun of me being outcasted by my

squad on my first day. I usually wouldn't care, but seeing that anger is my only emotion right now- i

can't help but use it in this perfect moment.

He gulps, "I've told them about the pack training, but they continued to sleep."

"And?"

"A-And?"

"There must be something else, something NOAH would say? I'm not expecting Liam to say anything,

and I'm even surprised JoJo is ignoring me as well."

"I really don't know.. they just said they didn't want to go."

That's not an option!

I quickly told Easton to follow me back to the headquarters. He was a bit reluctant after seeing my rage,

but since he can't disobey me now, he followed behind me silently.

Once i saw the door to the dormitory, i kicked it off its place. Immediately, all of them rose up from their

beds, their shocked face all syncing with each other.

"Listen here you little shits, i don't plan on wasting my time waking you all up. You got two choices,

follow me to the training grounds or you stay here for a whole day curling in pain." I growled.

The first one to obey was JoJo. After seeing my mood, he was quick to understand and ran outside the

door in his pajamas. While Liam just mutters in annoyance before getting up, he made his way out after

changing his clothes.

"Good decision is also a skill." I nodded to myself. When i looked at the last person, he just glared at

me. Displaying his full displease in his face.

Even after suffering a lost last night, he's still as overbearing as ever.

"Hah! Who would want to be taught by a female? Even if you're stronger than me, i still don't approve

of you."

"Oh?" I smirked. "Option 2 then?"

After that, i wasted no time and beat him up into a pulp.

I grew up trained as a spy, who can independently accomplish missions and heed orders perfectly. In

short, SunDale is a pack that trains individuals who can do the work alone. But that's what was weird

about our pack. Being werewolves means travelling with your pack members, to do things with your

pack, and to die along with your pack.

If i teach them what i was taught in SunDale, i'll surely be suspicious. Thankfully, i once heard our

trainer when he talked about how other pack trained their warriors.

I breathed in, and out to calm my nerves.

I've got three men standing in front of me. And Alpha Derek was in a far corner observing my every

move. At that moment, i didn't hesitate anymore and proceeded with the training.

First was cardio.

"See that high mountain over there?" I said and pointed to the tip of the mountain that Crescent Moon

currently resides in. "We'll race to there, the last one to arrive will receive a horrible punishment. And to

assure you, i'm going to do it too. For now, we'll take it slow with the intensity of the training, so rest

assured and take your time to adapt with it."

I smirked, i knew that it'll be hard on them. Since i have the best stamina among them, pressuring them

by being beaten by a girl would raise their morale.

And there's also one thing that makes it hard.

JoJo raises his hand, "But.. isn't this mountain filled with monsters double our sizes?"

"Yes.. Yes it does." I smiled.

*DEREK's POV*

I've never seen a training regimen like this. After she said that they'll be running to the tip of the

mountain, which is actually a forbidden area to enter since it was an area where monsters live for about

a millenium, she made it clear that no one will get hurt.

But i doubt it. Since even till this day, monsters from the mountain of Krolo, continue to break a few

times into our territory. Though it was only the small ones.

When they finally started. I secretly followed behind them and watched them closely in case something

happens. My field of vision was strangely focused on Venus. As always, her light movements made me

stare in awe, she's been running for a while now but she's yet to break a sweat.

Just how good is her stamina?

The three guys was trying to match her speed, but in the end they could only reach to see her back in

view due to fatigue. There were times that i sensed a huge monsters coming near her spot, so i quickly

silenced it in a clean matter unconcsiously. But when it came after the other guys, i was cold enough to

ignore it. They fought hard and continued.novelbin

After doing that for almost an hour, they arrived on the top. I quickly hid behind a tree out of their range.

"That's weird, why aren't monsters coming my way? so boring." She mutters in annoyance. She turns

to the people who have arrived, Seeing that there was exactly one who hasn't arrived, she smirks.

"Looks like we know who'll receive the punishment."

It was Liam.

Once Liam arrived. He was exhaustedly patting and almost fell on the snow-filled ground. "I'm going to

die.." He grunts.

He's not wrong though. Although JoJo and Easton arrived first, they were also trying to catch their

breaths. The Mountain was as high as Mount Fuji, Venus was crazy by referring to this as light training.

Even i wasn't trained to this extent.

Venus shakes her head. "Not yet, you still have to take your punishment Liam. Once we get down, see

me in my room."

What?! Did she just say her room?! My gut turns upside down.
