Chapter 22: It's Something Personal

Now that i think about it, i haven't really met the guild information master. He always wore this boorish-

kind of mask that could intimidate anyone. But that wasn't what was bothering me, what completely

threw me off was when he introduced me as one of his customers.

How did he recognize me? i was always wearing a mask during our transactions?

Tsk!

Since he's already onto me, i should play this petty game with him as well.

As politely as i can, i removed his hand and plastered a smile, "Ha ha ha, sorry if i disturbed you. I

know you're quite a busy person. But still, i never said you should come at such a time."

Alpha Derek crosses his arms towards Seff, "Just say what you want to say and leave."

Seff smirks, "Really? can i really open such a secret that only she and i knows?"

Alpha Derek immediately looks at me in confusion. "What secret?"

"..."

Hah i can't read him. I can't tell if he'll expose me or side with me. Yet i was for sure from how his eyes

displayed deceit, that he was someone that i could never trust.

Annoyed, Alpha Derek clicks his tongue, turning his gaze back to Seff. "Do you really have the time to

be playing around? You're an alpha, so act like one!"

Seff just laughed it off, and while they talked to each other, i couldn't help but stand frozen on my spot.

Seff leads the Rohan Guild, as well as a pack?

Damn it, how did i get involved in such a huge figure! He even knows my secret!

"You- You're an alpha?"

Once Seff heard me, he snapped his attention back at me. I was filled with questions, for there were

too many weird things that i couldn't explain. The curiosity convinced me enough that i needed to have

a conversation with him... alone.

"You don't know? He's the alpha of Dark Moon. You've been meeting him and you didn't even know

this?" Alpha Derek scowls at me.

"I didn't know. After all, we only had few encounters."

Seff laughs it off, "It's fine. There's time so that we can get to know each other. Wouldn't you agree?

Venus?"

His feet tread lightly towards me, his scent started to remind me of the memories we had together

when we first met- and exactly how he should've died by my hands long ago.

I gave him a dirty look. "What do you want?"

He sniggered, he didn't even blink as he told the same lie. "What do YOU want? Weren't you the one

who called for me?"

I shortly gaped at Alpha Derek and sighed. It was obvious that Seff wanted to be alone with me, he

must be asking me to do it since Alpha Derek was a tough one to get permission to. novelbin

"Alpha Derek, i'll be back. I just need to discuss some private matters with him."

"Is this about the information we bought from him? if so there's no need-"

"No. As i said, it's something personal." I replied in a coy tone.

*SEFF's POV*

I'd be lying if i said i wasn't enjoying this.

After Derek finally allowed us to talk privately, we soon left his office and i quietly followed behind her. It

was weird, she was awfully quiet that it made me want to tease her.

"Did you miss me?"

When she stopped walking, i immediately expected her to throw a punch to my face. And of course, i

was able to dodge it in time.

I laughed out loud, "Even after knowing i'm an alpha, you still want to play with fire?"

"You're supposed to be dead!"

"And you're supposed to be in jail?"

"You-! Just what do you want?! If you're here to expose me, then don't ever think that you can escape

from me alive this time! i'll tear your whole body to pieces." She growls in venom.

"Expose you?" I raised an eyebrow.

If i wanted to expose her, then she would've never been able to step in Crescent Moon in the first

place. I knew she was determined to erase me since i knew her secrets that's surely makes her

position in a disadvantage. Yet even after what happened between, all i wanted to do was to get

answers from her sincerely.

I was curious about her.

"I won't expose you. But in return, let's be friends?"

"What?" She utters in disbelief. "We tried to kill each other before and now friends?"

"Why not? We even had some intimate contact with each other. If we're not friends, then maybe...

lovers?" I pouted, ridiculing her anger a bit more.

She rolls her eyes, "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not interested in you nor i wanted to make contact

with you at that time. I just wanted to test the best of my ability."

Ability? I knew it. The feeling of exhilaration and heat going through my body wasn't a simple feeling at

that time. I suspected it before since she's half-witch, but still i've never heard of witches having the

ability to seduce werewolves.

She's really a strange one.

I chortled, "That's a useful ability. You can get any man under your knees in a second."

As soon as we reach a door, she didn't hesitate to open it and let me in. It was a room beside Derek's,

and since she's the current beta it makes sense that she led me to her room in purpose.

I snickered, "I thought you weren't interested in me, don't tell me you're going to try your ability on me

again?"

She closes the door shut in a loud bang, "Tell me now. How did you know i do business with the

Rohan's?"

She's curious about that?

"Well how do i explain this?" I said in a smug tone as i sat on the edge of her bed. "I only realized it

recently when you contacted Rohan to do business with you. When i saw that necklace on your neck, i

was sure it was you."

Even before we met in the cabin, Venus is one of the regular customers of the Rohan information guild.

She was also one of the contracted warriors that we agreed to work with. The deal was if she ever

needs information, the payment would be labor. So whenever she visited, Rohan guild also asked

something in return.

She has never failed a task from us, so i personally always contacted with her. Who would've thought it

was all her all along?

If this isn't fate, then i don't know what is.
