Chapter 24: Do Me A Favor?

I clasped my hands in excitement, "If that's the case, why not ask him yourself? Isn't he here right now?

i saw his bike downstairs."

He clicks his tongue, annoyed. "Yeah, He came for Venus about business."

"Is it really about business?" I said, wriggling my eyebrows.

"Shut up." He sighs. "Anyway have you finished your tasks for the day? I have something i want you to

do-"

"But alpha," I interrupt him, "Aren't you worried for Beta Venus? Alpha Seff is known for being a

womanizer. With his good looks, even beta venus's frozen heart can melt!"

"Easton,"

"-I mean i wouldn't blame Alpha Seff. Though Beta Venus is kind of a hard she-wolf to approach, her

body and looks is something any male would die for-"

"EASTON!" He shouts this time, his eyes darkening from anger.

Knowing my limits, i immediately shut my mouth. By then, the room suddenly was filled with silence. My

sweat rolled down as i felt Alpha Derek's murderous gaze stabbing my chest.

He grumbles, his tone dark. "Tell me, what is the number one rule about relationships for every beta

working under me?"

I gulped. "T..That is, one must avoid casual relationships with others other than their mate to avoid

irresponsible behavior during his/her tasks."

"Ban him,"

"What?" I asked, bewildered.

"Ban Seff from entering Crescent Moon starting today! if he gets in without my permission again, i'll

punish everyone, including you."

*VENUS's POV*

The deal that i made with Seff was more suspicious than anything. He promised not to expose me, and

in return i must play a specific role he had in mind.

{"Since you're such a great actress, won't you play with me?"}

Tsk spiteful bastard.

I was on my way back to Alpha Derek's office after i kicked Seff on his balls to relieve some of my pent-

up anger. Why i kicked him? He's basically blackmailing me, so that's why i did it.

When i faced the door, i was surprised to see Easton on his way out. He had this worried and petrified

expression as soon as we locked eyes.

What's going on?

"Beta Venus!" He whispers. "Whatever you do, don't provoke him for now!"

"What?"

Then, he sprints out.

I didn't understand his point and just shrugged it off. Once i got in, i was baffled as i felt the intensity of

Alpha Derek's killing intent all around the room's corners. His gaze focused on the window in front of

him.

Should i announce myself?

At that moment, i recalled some of my memories when Shaka was in the same mood. He said that if

we see him disoriented and angry, we should leave to show respect. And of course, it was to avoid

unnecessary sacrifice.

Coming into that conclusion, i turned a heel and was about to leave when he unexpectedly halts me.

My hand on the cold door knob, i felt his gaze piercing on my back.

"Where are you going?"

It's me, i'm going to be the unnecessary sacrifice. I sighed, "You seem to be busy Alpha, i was about to

finish my remaining duties for the day."

"Let go of the doorknob and come here." He lowly snarls.

I did what he said and readily positioned myself in front of his desk. That's when i noticed how bad his

mood was, his usual golden eyes had already turned black, and his chest rose in evident rage.

Don't tell me, did i do something wrong?

"What did you two talk about?"

I raised an eyebrow, "About personal matters."

"Tell me in detail."

"Why should i? it doesn't concern the pack, Alpha Derek. More so, it doesn't even involve you. So

there's no need to question me about it."

He slams his fist on his desk, and the surface crumbles in impact. "I'm your alpha! How long will you

continue to disrespect me?!"

Hmm? Playing the Alpha's card?

"Don't you hear yourself Alpha Derek? How does my business concern you? I thought you already

made it clear that you hate my guts. So what's with this sudden interest between me and Alpha Seff?"

He let out a breath of disbelief, stood up and strode towards me. Feeling overwhelmed, i unconsciously

took steps backward in defense.

When my back finally hit the window, i leaned on it. His body was inches close, yet there was still this

solid boundary that i felt as he stared down at me in irritation.

"Relationships are forbidden as long as you work under me."

I smiled, "I assure you Alpha, we're not breaking any rules."

"You better not be." He hissed. "I've banned him from coming here for the mean time. You're still new,

you should focus on your duties other than making unnecessary connections outside."

Oh? He just made things easier for me. I don't even want to see that psycho lingering around either. I

was about to agree with him, when i suddenly thought of how i could benefit from this.

I mean, isn't this still about my private matters?

Let's just hope he won't kill me after this.

"You can ban him, but you can't stop me from meeting him outside."

His eyebrow wrinkled, "What? Are you fucking kidding me?"

"-Unless you do me a favor." I slowly placed my palm on his left cheek, "Then i promise you that i won't

involve myself with him."

He grabs my wrist, "What favor?"

Got you.

As soon as our skin touched, i felt the spark around my heart again. It has been so long since i've

made physical contact with him that it made me want even more. Yet as i leaned closer to his lips, he

immediately backs away in a hurry.

"What are you doing?!" He says, his face flushed. novelbin

I said straightforwardly, "You must touch me. It doesn't matter where, do it for five seconds every day."

"Are you crazy?"

"Why? Isn't it a fair price to pay for my personal life? You're making me do something i don't want to,

why can't i do the same?"

"Hah." He scoffs, "After avoiding me for four months, you suddenly want me to touch you, for what? for

your personal desires?"

"Can't i?" I said, taking a step towards him. I placed my hand on his chest, and watched how his eyes

widen as our eyes met. "It's not like every day i get to be touched by such a handsome Alpha? I think

i've abstained long enough, don't you think?"

I was expecting him to back out, worse he might hit me for saying such disrespectful things. Yet my

thoughts dispersed when his gaze shifted to desire.

He wraps his big rough hands around my neck, and muttered in a cold low pitched voice.

"Don't play with fire. You'll regret it."
