Chapter 30: Wedding Was Approaching
Peter's POV:
I hadn't expected Kate to dare do such a thing to Serena.
She was becoming really hard to deal with.
She even got other she-wolves to help her with this.
It seemed that there were still some werewolves in my pack who refused to accept and respect Serena as their future Luna.
That was why our Mate Ceremony shouldn't be delayed any longer.
It needed to be held as soon as possible.
So I would also have to speed up the arrangements for the ceremony.
I decided to tell my parents and the elders that Serena had been attacked by Kate and other she- wolves today.
All of them were shocked and concerned.
I left out the part that Kate verbally expressed an intention to kill Serena.
It was on Serena's orders not to hold Kate accountable for now, after all.
If I revealed too much information about today's incident, I was afraid that my father and the elders would take matters into their own hands to punish Kate.
"I thought Kate was a good girl...You two were even dating before Serena came, right?’ one of the senior elders asked.
I lowered my head in embarrassment.
Being a future Alpha meant that many people had to know even the private details of his personal life.
They knew about me and Kate.
I guessed it was reasonable, since I had been single for two years anyway.Finding out that I was dating someone was indeed big news for the entire pack.
"That's all in the past now.I have found my mate and it is Serena."
I brushed off their comments about Kate.
"How's Serena now? Is she hurt?" Thankfully, Elder Steve switched the focus back to Serena.
"No, thank goodness.Tessa was there just in time to save her," I replied with gratitude in my voice.
"Tessa? You mean, my Tessa saved Serena? Well, how is she? Is she the one who got hurt?"
Uncle Justin perked up and asked with concern.Tessa was Uncle Justin's illegitimate daughter.
Back in his youth, he had fooled around with a lot of women, and one of them had gotten pregnant with Tessa.
Unfortunately, Tessa's mother passed away, so Uncle Justin offered to take her in.
Tessa accepted the offer.
But because she was extremely introverted, she preferred to live alone.She now resided in a small house in the mountain behind the Maple House.
"Tessa was hurt, but it's not serious."
"Well, you better reprimand that Kate for attacking Serena.Our pack cannot have any bad blood within itself right now,"
Steve warned me.
Kate's POV:
I wasn't planning on coming to the tennis court with my friends at all.
However, I received an anonymous message, saying that I should go to the tennis court for a surprise.
That was why I went there and took my friends with me.
Apparently, the surprise was that bitch Serena.
I was pleasantly surprised, actually.
Anita was nowhere to be found.
Those two were always stuck like glue to each other.
Finally, this bitch was now alone.I now had a great opportunity in my hands.I wanted to kill this bitch and end my problems once and for all.
But Tessa suddenly showed up.
Because of her, a good opportunity had gone to waste! Although, Serena was more powerful than I thought.
I could have sworn that the racket was not within her reach, and yet it somehow made its way to her hand.
If she was able to hit me with that racket, I would not hesitate to kill her right then and there.Thinking more about it, could she possible have magical powers? But Serena was only a werewolf.
It wasn't common for werewolves to possess magic at all.I must investigate her background immediately.
My friends and I had to run out of the rooftop when we heard Peter coming with other people.I had to leave the Maple House immediately.For sure, Serena was going to tell Peter everything.
I wasn't afraid, though.
If ever the elders or anyone would blame me, I would just tell them about my relationship with Peter.I was determined to make a scene.Peter had dumped me for that bitch.I wasn't going to bless that relationship.
After a while, I noticed that no one was looking for me. My phone buzzed with another anonymous message.
"Damn it! Why couldn't you just finish the job? How could four wolves fail to kill two?" I had no idea who this could be, but it seemed that they hated Serena just as much as I did that they also wanted her gone.

When I saw Peter at the library, I noticed that he was looking for books about werewolf- vampire hybrids.
Perhaps this was an important piece of information that I could share with this mysterious ally of mine.
I opened my phone and sent a reply to the anonymous sender.
Tessa's POV:
My house was not that far from the Maple House.
That was why I was able to hear the commotion that seemed to be coming from the tennis court on the rooftop.
I squinted my eyes to get a better look and saw around four she-wolves surrounding our future Luna, Serena.
They were going to gang up on her.
I had my fair share of bullies growing up, so I knew what it was like to be on that side.I wasn't going to let anyone experience that, not under my nose.
Instantly, I transformed into my wolf form.Ivy, my wolf, was not one to speak much, but I was to her invitation.
My father was Alpha's brother.
I had always considered taking the initiative to be part of this big family before.But I just could not bring myself to forgive my father for abandoning my mother.
Ever since she passed away, I lived on my own in a small house up in the mountain.
I wasn't really the type to make a lot of friends or talk much.It was only quietness in the mountain, and I liked that.
Serena told me that she wasn't going to hold Kate responsible for trying to kill her because Kate was probably going through something herself.
Hearing this, I admired Serena for her kindness and sincerity.
She was definitely going to be a great partner for Peter in leading and strengthening our pack.She was also very friendly.
That was partly why it was so difficult for me to refuse her.
A little while after, my father had also come to visit me in the hospital to help with the discharge and paperwork.
However, I still acted coldly towards him.
Once we got out of the hospital, it was time for me to move in to the Maple House and Alvin was there to help me.
I didn't really have a lot of belongings, so packing up didn't take up too much time.Soon after he left, I got a message.
"Here's a small surprise for you.Love, your A."
Ding dong! The doorbell suddenly rang to her invitation.

"Excuse me, ma‘am. Are you Miss Tessa?"
"Yes, that's me."
"A handsome gentleman told me to bring this to you."
There was a small card stashed in the middle of the bouquet.The card mentioned that lavender flowers meant that one was waiting for love.
At the bottom of the card, the words "Your A" were signed on it.
Immediately, I knew who the sender was and felt my heart speed up its pace.My cheeks probably turned pink.
"Tessa, I already knew you and Alvin are mates, but I don't really think he deserves a girl like you.You know that he is not exactly the most faithful man," Ivy warned me in my head.
"Wait, he is my mate?" My eyes widened.
Suddenly, all the attention Alvin had been giving me made sense.He must have felt it, too.
"Yes, it has already been arranged by the Moon Goddess herself.However, you do have the option to refuse him.Whatever you do, I will respect your decision."
Ivy then went silent after saying her piece.
I was not a very sociable person, but to keep updated, I would occasionally browse for news on the Red Maple‘s home website.
The official news section was mostly about pack affairs and Peter.
The gossip section, however, was always about Alvin.Recalling that he was known to be a famous playboy in the pack, my heart sank a little.
At my first dinner with the family, I saw a lot of family members and Alvin.But with what I knew, I had to be vigilant and keep my guard up on my heart with Alvin.I wasn't even sure if he truly took me seriously.Should I refuse him?
