Chapter 8

Rosalind's POV

Last night daddy came home with a bloody nose and I asked him what happened, he told me he got in

a fight with Alpha.

I'm mad at Alpha now because he hurt my daddy.

While I play with Alexa outside I look to the door and see Alpha walking over to us. He looks at me and

smiles but I look away.

He walks over to me and Alexa before he asks, "Hey, what you girls playing?" novelbin

I give him silent treatment so Alexa answers him, "We're pretending to be wolves."

"Oh, can I play with you?" he asks smiling and sitting down on the ground next to me.

"No." I snap at him as I cross my arms over my chest. "Rose, what's wrong?" He asks.

I try to ignore him but I give in, "nofing is wrong." I snap at him and his smile fades.

"I can tell something is wrong." He says setting his big hand on my little one. I feel warmth from his

touch but I pull my hand away from him, "Don't touch me! I'm wad at you!"

"Why are you mad at me princess?" He asks frowning. I stand up and yell, "You hurt my daddy!"

"I didn't want to hurt your daddy, I'm sorry." He says looking down at his hands.

I don't say anything. I just run off without Alexa. I ran inside the house all the way to mommy and

daddy's room. I then sat down on my bed, thinking about how alpha made my daddy bleed. I then

looked over and saw my grey teddy bear he gave me and I growl. I get up, grab the bear, and run

outside with her.

I hurry to where Alpha is (sitting in the same spot Alexa and I were playing), so I run over to him and

throw the bear at him.

"I don't want this anymore!" I yell before turning around so my back is facing him. He stands up, holding

the bear, "Rose-"

Before he can say what he was saying I hurry and run off again.

Later on Mommy came into her and daddy's room.

"Rose, start packing a bag. We're going to go on a little trip."

Mommy walks over to daddy, "Lacey, what's going on? Why are you going on a trip?"

"Rose and I are going with Alpha Clayton to visit the LycanRiver Pack. We're leaving on Thursday."

She says turning to me.

"What? Why?" Daddy asks. "He asked me if he could take Rose with and then he asked me to come

with because it's best to have one of her parents along." Mommy answers.

"Why wouldn't he ask me first? I am her father!"

Mommy kisses dad's cheek, "Your a good father Damon, but we both know why he didn't ask you." She

says tilting her head to me.

I just sit there watching them.

"You're not going anywhere with him." Daddy says pausing, "I'll go instead."

"With the Alpha? that's not a good idea." She tells him. Daddy walks in my room and I follow behind

him.

"It will be fine." He says grabbing a bag and starts putting my clothes in it.

Mommy stands in the doorway and watches.

"Damon." mommy says, daddy turns and looks at her. "It's fine." He tells her and he then looks at me,

"Daddy I don't want to go." I say pouting.

"Why don't you want to go?" He asks as he gets on his knees in front of me so he's my height.

"I don't want to go with Alpha, I'm wad at him. And why can't mommy come?"

"Why are you mad at him? And I'm going instead of mommy so I can keep an eye on you."

"I'm wad because he hurt you.." I tell him as I point to my nose to show him what I mean.

He takes in a breath and pauses for a few seconds before releasing it, "Rose, he didn't just hurt me, we

both hurt each other."

"Why did you hurt each other?" I ask him. Daddy picks me up, "Because I don't want him to hurt you."

Alpha would hurt me? Now I'm even more mad at him, he's a liar! he told me he would protect me from

getting hurt!
