Chapter 24 I Deserve to be Abandoned

When she went downstairs, Sarah called Christian.

“What’s wrong?” Christian’s cold voice sounded as soon as the phone was connected.

“Christian! I want to see you.”

“Alright! Come to the entrance of the neighborhood.” Christian did not reject her and directly ordered her like a chief.

“I don’t need you to pick me up. Just tell me where you are!” Hearing this man’s voice, Sarah felt all kinds of displeasure in her heart. No matter what, she was his legal wife. Why was he speaking so coldly?

“At the entrance of my neighborhood!” After Christian said that, he hung up the phone.

Sarah was speechless.

This man was clearly sitting in a wheelchair but he was still so cold.

Fortunately they were not really married. If she really lived with such a man, she would definitely go crazy!

The neighborhood was not very big. Sarah arrived in less than five minutes. When she left the neighborhood, she saw the off-road vehicle waiting for her by the side of the road. Jayson had already opened the car door for her. Sarah walked over and smiled at Jayson, then sat in the car. After the door closed, Jayson sat in the driver sit and started the car.

“I just want to ask you a few questions. Where are you taking me?” Seeing Jayson start the car, Sarah looked at Christian who was beside her.

“Let’s go to the apartment. Some things are not convenient to say outside!” Christian answered cleanly.

Sarah thought that what he said was right. Although Jayson was his operation soldier, he was still an outsider no matter what. She did not say anything else and sat quietly beside Christian.

She came to Christian’s apartment this morning, but she only went downstairs. However, the facilities in the neighborhood were very high-end. The Cooper Family was rich. It was normal for them to be able to afford such a high-end apartment.

Jayson helped Christian to the wheelchair and wanted to push him into the lobby of the apartment. However, Christian raised his hand to stop him. He looked indifferently at Sarah, who was beside him and ordered like a chief.

“You are now my legal wife. You will do this kind of thing in the future!”

“Ah? Oh!” Sarah heard his words and was stunned. But she thought about it and felt that what he said was not unreasonable. She reached out her hand to grab the armrest of the wheelchair and pushed him into the apartment. Jayson quickly ran over and pressed on the elevator. When Sarah pushed Christian into the elevator, Jayson still took the elevator. Looking at his cautious expression, he was afraid that something bad would happen to the chief.

The elevator finally stopped on the 18th floor, and the three of them reached the apartment door smoothly. Jayson opened the door and Sarah pushed Christian into the living room. Once they walked in, Christian controlled the wheelchair to go to his room first, and Jayson immediately followed.

Sarah looked at their backs and changed her shoes at the door before she started to look around the room.

The renovation of the house looked low-profile and luxurious. The style of the renovation was very similar to Christian’s personality! Sarah only walked a few steps before she had an unexpected discovery.

There were actually stairs in this house!

The man was sitting in a wheelchair and it was difficult for him to even walk. How could he go upstairs?

However, this thought only disappeared in an instant. Christian’s leg had been only injured for half a year. Given the Cooper Family’s situation, they might have bought an apartment a long time ago. With this thought, Sarah felt relieved.

Because this was not her own home after all, she took a quick look and sat on the sofa with her bag, quietly waiting for Christian to come out.

The door of the room opened very quickly. Jayson walked out from inside and said respectfully in front of Sarah. “Sister-in-law, I need to go out first.”

Jayson smiled at her and nodded before leaving.

As soon as the door of the living room closed, Christian came out of his room in a wheelchair and stopped in front of Sarah. Seeing that she was looking at him cautiously, he softened his tone.

“This will be your home from now on. Don’t stand there like a guest!”

Christian saw her sit down on the sofa and went straight to the point. He asked her. “Tell me, why do you want to see me?”

“What did you tell my mom? Why did she agree to our marriage in such a short time?” Sarah thought about this and asked at Christian with a questioning tone.

“What is it? Are you looking for me now because you regret it?” No expression could be seen on Christian’s face.

“Yes! I regret it! I shouldn’t have registered my marriage with someone I don’t like! Originally I wanted to lie to my mother, but now, things have developed to this point. I don’t have to continue lying to her.”

“But what I didn’t expect was that you actually convinced my mom to agree to this marriage! Christian, although my mother is kind, she is also a person with a temper. I am her only daughter. If you did not say anything, she would definitely not easily agree to our marriage! What exactly did you say to my mother?”

Sarah wanted to know everything. Julian’s matter had already dealt her mother a heavy blow. She could not let her mother get hurt again because of Christian.

The corners of Christian’s mouth curled into a cold smile.

“What? Do you think I threatened her?”

“You’re a soldier, so you definitely won’t do that sort of thing. Besides, your physical condition doesn’t allow it! I just want to know what you said to her. Julian’s matter has already hurt my mother. I do not want to hurt my mother’s heart again…”

Sarah’s eyes dimmed as she said this. She paused for a moment and looked at him to continue asking, “Tell me, what did you say to my mother?”

Christian looked at her expectant eyes and turned his eyes slightly. He replied calmly.

“When we divorce three months later, I will tell you. But now, I can’t!”

Sarah looked at Christian’s cold attitude and listened to his words. She immediately stood from the sofa.

“Why not? Did you say something to my mom that made her sad? Why did she Cooper! If you don’t tell me the truth today, I won’t agree to marry you!”

Christian’s face turned cold. He looked at her excited expression and mocked her. “Don’t you have a phone in your bag? Now call your mother and tell her that you want to divorce me. See if she will agree to it?”

After he finished speaking, he returned to his room and slammed the door shut.

Sarah looked at his back speechlessly. She really did not know what to say!

After a moment of hesitation, Sarah turned around and walked quickly to Christian’s room. She pushed the door open and walked in.

The moment the door opened, Sarah saw Christian fall to the ground and his wheelchair fell beside him.

She immediately ran over nervously and threw her bag aside to carefully check if he was hurt.

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you so careless? Are you hurt?” Sarah asked as she nervously looked at his entire body from top to bottom. After making sure that there were no abnormalities, she finally relaxed.

Christian looked at her coldly. He did not appreciate her concern.

“Anyway, you don’t want to marry me. Whether I am injured or not has nothing to do with you. Go away!”

He stretched out his hand and pushed her away impolitely.

Sarah stood awkwardly at the side and did not know what to do for a moment. She could only look at him silently.

Christian’s arms propped up the ground and wanted to stand up, but he could not do anything for a long time. That pair of legs did not react at all. He reached out and grabbed the wheelchair.
