The venue for the banquet was the most expensive hotel, Gloire Hotel Gerard felt it could greatly show his respect in such an expensive place.

Last time, he almost died because he looked down on Nathan. As Nathan’s background was secret and powerful, Gerard didn’t dare to snub him again.

“Mr. Hopp, are you eating here too?!” Luke and Natalie’s families, who had just arrived at the hotel, were stunned when they saw Gerard and others standing at the door.

Luke ran up to greet Gerard, but Gerard frowned. He didn’t know Luke at all.

Luke said, “Mr. Hopp, I’m Luke of Roberts Group. I had a drink with you last time!”

Gerard greeted him calmly, with a little impatience in his expression. Luke didn’t dare to say more and guided Natalie’s family to enter the hotel quickly.

“Mr. Luke, you also know Mr. Hopp!” When Luisa saw Luke talking to Gerard, she admired Luke very much.

Hannah said in a low voice, “Mr. Hopp may wait for some distinguished guests here. A big leader from the state, maybe.”

They walked into the Gloire Hotel and entered the Private Room which had been booked in advance.

“That’s okay. I’m glad you can come!” Gerard said respectfully to his savior.

Some people watching on the side were shocked.

Who was the young man to make Mr. Hopp wait for so long?

Moreover, he knew that Mr. Hopp was waiting for him, but he still put on the air and came late!

As a loose cannon, Nathan was an indolent man. He had already tried his best to arrive here at this time.

“Master Evans, have you made a decision about our talk last time?” Carlos kept flattering Nathan, hoping to learn something from him.

Carlos was well–known throughout Hechland for his skills, but he was also a famous maniac. He would be willing to kneel to Nathan without hesitation to further his medical skills.

Nathan only replied, “We’ll see.”

Knowing the answer, Carlos didn’t press him anymore.

At the dinner, Miller acted as an intermediary to cheer up the atmosphere, while Gerard and Carlos kept toasting to Nathan to show their respect.

After they drank for a while, the door to the room was pushed open. A slightly fat middle-aged man walked in.

“Mr. Kent, why are you here?” Gerard asked with a frown when he saw Matthew, chairman of Bank of Mimar.

Matthew started as a small salesman in the bank, so he was wise in reading faces. When he saw that the host position was not occupied by Matthew and Miller but by an unfamiliar young man, he realized something in his mind.

“I’m here to talk to Howard about the capital. He is the president of Roberts Property. I heard that you are here, so I came here to toast.” Matthew said with a smile and glanced at Nathan.

He was curious about why Mr. Hopp highly respected Nathan.

Gerard frowned. He said, “Howard’s group has a big problem. The capital deficit is too large. Even if you lend money, I’m afraid it can’t save their company.”

Matthew immediately flattered him, “Mr. Hopp has a keen sense of the problem! Yes, I won’t lend money to Roberts Group. Their deficit real estate is too large. They can’t fill the hole even if we lend 2 billion dollars.”

Nathan listened to them with a calm expression. It seemed that Luke wouldn’t be smug for so long.

Matthew toasted them one by one. When he toasted to Nathan, he held up the glass with a smile.

He said, “Buddy, nice to meet you.”

Nathan casually dipped his lips while Matthew gulped it down. Even so, Matthew didn’t feel he was insulted.

He thought Nathan must be someone powerful as he could sit at the host of the table and keep Mr. Hopp waiting outside the hotel.

After the toast, Matthew left the room quietly. It was enough for him to show up in front of the leader and toast the leader’s distinguished guests.

Nathan could see that Gerard was asking for help or something.

He said, “Mr. Hopp, if you want me to do something, just tell me. No need to beat about the bush.”

Gerard was not embarrassed even though he was disclosed. After all, he is sophisticated in politics.

He said, “My daughter has been ill for many years… Even Mr. Sander can’t cure it, so I want to invite you to give it a try.”

“A disease that Mr. Sanders can’t cure?” Nathan gave a glance at Carlos.

“Master Evans, it’s a mental illness. Angelina Hopp locks herself in the room all day. I’m afraid her illness will get worse if it goes on like this!” Carlos sighed.

“There must be a reason for the mental disease,” Nathan said.

After hesitating for a moment, Gerard sighed, “She had a fight with her mother and then ran away from home… I never expected that my wife would have a sudden illness, and my daughter never saw her mother until she left. So she has been living in self–blame and guilt.”

Nathan nodded thoughtfully, then said calmly, “I’ll take a look when I can.”

With Nathan’s words, Gerard was finally relieved.

Nathan was not a person who liked to socialize. After the meal, he left immediately.

Gerard didn’t press him to stay and immediately got up with Carlos to see him off.

Watching Gerard, Miller, and Carlos send a young man out, the people around were all dumbfounded.

Hannah happened to be answering the phone outside. When seeing them, her phone almost fell to the ground.

How… How could that be…

The person who made Mr. Hopp wait outside was him?

He’s just a prison guard. Why is he held in high esteem by Mr. Hopp?!

Hannah was obviously startled.

She returned to the room and wanted to tell Natalie the shocking news. As soon as she came in, she heard Luke say with a smile, “Our company has decided to increase capital and shares. Natalie, are you interested in it?”
