Nathan didn’t expect Hannah to believe him and go to investigate seriously.

He nodded slightly, then he said, “Since you have investigated, why don’t you show the results to the Johnson family? So they can withdraw their fund.”

With the hoax of Luke, the Johnson family invested at least 30 million, including Natalie’s 20 million.

Natalie’s position at the company was unstable. If the people of Roberts Group ran away with money, she might be condemned by others again.

“I only found some clues. They won’t believe it.” Hannah shook her head.

She didn’t do any investigation at all. She believed him because she saw that Nathan was sent out by Gerard and others. After all, even Nathan said that it was told by Gerard himself that Roberts Group was in deficit.

Gerard was in charge of Mimar City. He wouldn’t spread the rumors.

Nathan was also helpless. He would find another chance to persuade Hector. After all, once it happened, they would suffer a big loss.

Hannah led Nathan into the restaurant, which she had booked in advance. It was a private kitchen that only served ten tables of guests a day. It was said that the seat in this restaurant had been reserved for a month.

“What a small world?!”

Nathan glanced around and noticed a figure. It was Brinn.

Brinn was Jade’s assistant. If she was here, Jade should be there too.

Jade was seriously injured when capturing the Terror, so she stayed in Mimar City to recuperate. She and Nathan bumped into each other from time to time, which made him annoyed.

Nathan didn’t like Jade, especially her arrogance. If she could sit down and talk to him nicely when they first met, Nathan wouldn’t refuse to break their engagement at all. He could even be her friend even if they wouldn’t get married.

But Jade acted like she was the boss. Her arrogance made Nathan disgusted. He couldn’t help but wish to put her in jail and hang her for three days.

After sitting down, Nathan heard Jade talking to a woman.

“Natasha, why did you come to Mimar City?” Jade asked.

“Because I find a business opportunity here!” Natasha smiled faintly.

Hearing her voice and name, Nathan knew that this woman was probably as arrogant as Jade.

Just when he was about to ignore their conversation, he heard the words “Giradia Group”, which made his brows slightly raised.

“Giradia Group, that’s your target? I’ve heard of it before. It’s not easy to deal with. Its owner is Wendy. She is a tough woman…” Jade said thoughtfully.

“Giradia Group is under the hammer of Roarclaws Group. As Wendy is not willing to compromise, it’s a good time to annex it.” Natasha smiled confidently.

“Roarclaws Group? This group doesn’t seem to be more competitive than the Giradia Group. How can it suppress Giradia Group?” Jade wondered.

Natasha said, “Roarclaws Group has Dracodise at its back. Do you think they can suppress Giradia Group now?”

Jade said calmly, “That’s not surprising. It’s a good way to take chestnuts out of the fire.”

Nathan sighed silently in his heart. The Giradia Group was owned by Randy’s family.

Randy was a son of a wealthy family. He gave up his family business but took risks to trade arms. This Randy might be obsessed with money. When his business developed, he stole a batch of arms worth hundreds of millions from a big warlord.

The warlord held a grudge and killed all of Randy’s family except him and his sister, Wendy.

After the incident, their relatives all came to compete for the property.

Wendy appeared at the board of directors alone with her parents‘ ashes in her arms. She expelled those relatives and took charge of the company. Randy was put in prison because of this accident. He hadn’t been forgiven by Wendy until now.

When Nathan left the prison, Randy, who was seriously ill due to various blows, asked Nathan to help take care of his sister if he had a chance.

“What are you thinking about?” Hannah lightly touched his wrist with chopsticks when seeing him in a trance.

“Nothing.” When Nathan came back to his senses, he found that Hannah was sitting very close to him.

However, Nathan didn’t care too much. He continued thinking of Randy and his sister.

Randy was an honest man in prison. He had a good relationship with Nathan. He even often helped him with some official affairs of the prison. Therefore, Nathan agreed to help him.

“It’s time to pay a visit to Wendy…” Nathan murmured.

“Wendy! You know Wendy?!” Hannah asked him in surprise.

Nathan nodded and said, “What? Is that weird?”

Hannah looked strange, she said slowly, “She is a tough girl We’re not friends, but I know her…”

“A tough girl?” Nathan asked with a smile.

“There was an accident at Wendy’s family. Her parents were both killed. Then all her relatives took the opportunity to seize power. She appeared at the board of directors holding the urn of his parents. And she said something heartless and cold- blooded, which shocked everyone. So far, her words are still widely spread in the business circles of Mimar City.” Hannah explained.

Nathan listened attentively and motioned for her to continue.

Hannah said, “When all relatives accused her of being unfilial, saying she’s scrambling for power and wealth when her parents just died, Wendy only replied to them… My parents were cremated. They won’t be cold in their graves!”

When Nathan heard this, he raised his brows subconsciously.

Nathan couldn’t help but be shocked by the coldness of this short sentence.

“You want to approach Wendy? As a scum? She is not easy to get along with. I’m afraid she doesn’t even have any friends.” Hannah said.

“Scum? There’s nothing between Natalie and me, only a fake marriage.” Nathan frowned, then he sighed helplessly

Looking at his frowning face, Hannah asked, “Are you going to be with her for the rest of your life?”

Nathan said, “I already said it yesterday. It depends on fate. When we’re done, I will leave.”

“So you’re a scumbag!” Hannah couldn’t help laughing, baring her white teeth.

Nathan’s face was calm.

Hannah’s thigh suddenly touched Nathan. She smiled like a flower, with a hint of flush on her face. novelbin

Nathan was stunned. Then he was attracted by Jade’s voice.

He heard her say, “If you need any help, let me know.”

Nathan sneered. It seemed that Jade was going to intervene in the matter of Giradia Group. It would be a great chance for Nathan to take the edge off her spirit!
