Chapter 15

Fen Qin awoke seeing that she was in bed again. "How did I get here?" Fen Qin looked around with

her bedroom door opening. Zeng Mingzhu entered inside with Fen Qin's room.

"Fen Qin, your awake." Zeng Mingzhu had a smile on remembering Fen Qin being carried by Xue

Yahui. Even remembering Jiang Gen last night, he was very kind to her. She had never met such a

kind man before since she had terrible experiences in the past.

"Zeng Mingzhu, how did I get back into my room?" Fen Qin didn't even realize the that she had a good

sleep for the most part. There was no feeling of tiredness in her eyes anymore.

"You were brought back by Lord Xue. You even slept throughout almost the entire day. It's noon now."

Zeng Mingzhu explained which Fen Qin jumped out of bed.

"What?! Why didn't you wake me up?!" Fen Qin got out of bed. Washing up, she couldn't believe that

she had slept almost an entire day. She had never slept that long before. Usually, she would awake in

the morning by herself, but this time she didn't wake up on her own.

"Why are you in a rush?" Zeng Mingzhu watched Fen Qin rush out leaving. "Where is she going?"

Zeng Mingzhu didn't know where Fen Qin was going but she shrugged it off since she was never told

anyway. Seeing how Fen Qin didn't eat her food, she decided to just save it for later.

Fen Qin was supposed to gather a few more things. Bumping into someone, she nearly fell back as a

hand grabbed onto her. Pulling her close, she saw that it was Xue Yahui who she had bumped into.

Feeling her body shake, she pushed him away. "Your finally back to your old self. I thought you would

never be yourself when you fell asleep on me." Xue Yahui went up to Fen Qin who remembered it was

him who took her back to her room.

"I don't want to think about it. It's my problem if things like that happened. Now, I have to go out for a bit

and won't be back till night." Fen Qin was walking off while Jiang Gen watched them both.

"If you want to go with her then it's fine. I'll be here here with my sister." Jiang Gen pointed out. He had

a guest room also in Fen Qin's home for some time to keep an eye on his sister-in-law.

Xue Yahui smiled going ahead to follow after Fen Qin. Jiang Gen looked to Xue Yahui following after

Fen Qin which was thinking that perhaps, there was going to be love blooming soon between the two

without having a fated one.

"Where are you going?" Fen Qin saw Xue Yahui following behind her once more. Seeing how he would

of course leave his friend to follow after her.

"Why are you following me?" Fen Qin turned to face him since she could see he followed like a

duckling after it's mother.

"Is it bad to follow a friend who I worry for?" Xue Yahui questioned this time which had Fen Qin

annoyed that he was arrogant to consider her a friend already.

"Is every person you meet considered a friend?" Fen Qin started walking ahead once more with Xue

Yahui following after.

"Why are you jealous?" Xue Yahui was messing with Fen Qin. "If you want, them I consider you my

best friend. Do you feel better?" Xue Yahui had Fen Qin feeling more annoyed that he would say that

instead.

'He's really full of himself now.' Fen Qin thought and went ahead using her powers. She didn't even

know why, but Xue Yahui grabbed ahold of her before she could disappear off. Both had appeared in

Mellow Thicket. This was where one of Fen Qin's secret home was. Her visions were appearing with

her body frozen.

Fen Qin shook remembering the times that her father had hit her then to one where she was nearly

raped by her adopted brother. Xue Yahui had noticed Fen Qin frozen to where he held her by the

shoulders. "No! Let me go! Don't!" Xue Yahui never saw this before, seeing Fen Qin frightened for her

life.

"Fen Qin! Fen Qin! It's okay! It's okay! Nothings going to happen!" Xue Yahui hugging her this time

trying to stop her from pushing him away.

"Please! Please, don't!" Fen Qin was weeping with her eyes tearful. Her memories of her adopted

brother trying to take advantage of her when she was weak.

"Fen Qin!" Xue Yahui had laid his hand onto her forehead with his hand glowing. Fen Qin slowly fell

asleep in his arms. Seeing how he finally managed to calm her down, he didn't know what had

happened to her. Fen was shaking with her breath cold which worries Xue Yahui. Grabbing a knife, he

had remembered that his blood contained similar ways to help someone. His blood was somewhat novelbin

similar to Lord Yi's blood which is almost like the sun.

Cutting himself, he had his blood going down into Fen Qin's mouth. He had never given anyone his

blood, but this moment seemed necessary. Seeing Fen Qin's breathing slow down which made it easier

for her to breath and calm down. He wanted to help her with her past and overcome it. Seeing how she

was shaking before, with her begging to be released. It had Xue Yahui on edge to know that something

traumatic had happened to her. "Who hurt you?" Carrying her, he had heard before about a home in

Mellow Thicket.

Finding the place, Xue Yahui saw how dirty the place was. Using his powers, he had the place cleaned

up once again within seconds. Finding a bedroom, there was a bed which was a good thing. Laying

Fen Qin down onto the bed, Xue Yahui didn't know what Fen Qin needed or why she wanted to come

here. He made sure that she was tucked under. Taking her basket, he placed it onto the table in the

bedroom. Seeing how the floor wasn't as dirty, he laid down looking up to the ceiling.

"I'll surely help you. A friend should never leave one another behind. Mostly when your my best friend."

Xue Yahui looked over to Fen Qin who was sound asleep. Getting up, he created a table with chess

pieces. 'It's been a long time since I've last played chess. Let's see how I can play it or plan things out.'

Xue Yahui remembered that playing chess was like war on the chess board.
