Chapter 7

"Alright, I won't mind. This is your clan's rule and it's choice. I can not force anything onto them." Xue

Yahui understood since he figured it was his reputation that was an issue, but also no one can be

forced to work with someone they didn't like.

Xue Yahui couldn't sleep that night. The feeling of unwanted guests appearing at Fen Qin's home had

him unsure of what their motive was. 'What did they want? Who were they informing?' All these

questions raced within his thoughts leaving him feeling as though Fen Qin would be harmed in the

process.

Going out for the night, he couldn't sleep so he decided to try and walk a bit. Watching the moon, it

looked brighter than the sun during the day.

"Hey!? What do you think your doing?!"

Xue Yahui stopped his steps, turning to look at a few young felines who looked to be in their young

adult years.

"It's not a problem to her if she hasn't found her special someone yet."

"It won't be bad to do something while she waits for that special someone to come back."

"You idiots! This is not how the clan's rule works! If the lord hears about this then he won't let us off!"

Xue Yahui couldn't help, but look to a young fellow with yellow green eyes and sandy brown hair.

"It's not bad. We are just trying to enjoy the night that's all."

Xue Yahui could see how they showed no respect to the clan's rules along with their lord which he was

in fact his brother-in-law. 'Quite disrespectful. I should see to their punishment.' Xue Yahui was

planning to step out and help the young woman and man who were together. The other two men were

clearly just trying to use the woman.

Before he could take a step forth, he saw the single man shifting. Fighting the two others who were

against him. Xue Yahui smirked, jumping onto a branch. He was going to enjoy the little show to see

how it would end. The young fellow was a caracal against two common cougars. Cougars were the

most common found in the feline tribe so Xue Yahui could see that the caracal had some potential in

him.

Seeing how both had went up against the caracal, Xue Yahui did see it as a unfair fight. Although, it

was kind of like honor if they were to be disturbed while they were fighting.

"Stop! Don't hurt him! Don't fight anymore!"

Xue Yahui watched the woman trying to get in between, but he likely could see how she could get killed

if she were to just go in between them all. Holding a few rocks from the earlier when he stood on the

ground.

Flicking the rocks with his fingers, Xue Yahui had hit both of the cougars who felt the rock actually hurt

them. It wasn't like just some casual rock toss with more pressure hitting their bone somewhere. Xue

Yahui smiled seeing how they realized it wasn't some casual weak rock toss. It had a bit of power or

magic used within it to hurt them.

"Who is there?! Show yourself!"

The two cougars stood next to each other while the woman stood close to the caracal. Although, Xue

Yahui couldn't understand them, he knew that they were upset. Tossing two more rocks at the cougars,

they didn't even know where he was. They shook a bit after sensing that there was someone strong

that they were up against.

"Let's get out of here!"

The two cougars ran off, leaving the caracal and the woman alone. "Who's there?! I know that you

helped us, but why?!" Xue Yahui could hear the caracal who shifted back yelling out. "Can you tell me

who you are?!" He was begging Xue Yahui to tell them, but Xue Yahui didn't want to tell him his identity

yet.

"We'll see if we meet again. Then, I will tell you who I am." Xue Yahui went ahead leaving the two

felines unsure of who saved them. They were grateful for his help though.

Xue Yahui always wondered about his past, but his older sister always told him that it wasn't something

he should bring back or try to remember. The memories were completely gone with not a single vision.

Remaining in his room, Xue Yahui watched the night sky thinking about Fen Qin. Then, about all of the

medicines that she had.

'All of those herbs and medicines. They are for curing poisons. What are you trying to make?' Xue

Yahui didn't know what Fen Qin was planning or what she was trying to do. He wanted to know if she

was hiding anything that even her sister, Mu Shao Qing did not know. 'It's best that I do not tell her little

sister. It would stir up unwanted attention and trouble.' Xue Yahui had to try and find out for himself.

Hearing someone knocking on his door, Xue Yahui got up opening the door. Realizing that it was Lord

Gang, "Greetings, Lord Liu."

"No need to be formal. We are family so do not feel the need to be so formal." Lord Gang didn't want

Xue Yahui to always be so formal. It did not feel right when it was his closest family that was being to

formal to him.

"Sorry, what brings Brother Gang here?" Xue Yahui looked to Lord Gang who was obviously visiting

him this late at night for a reason.

Lord Gang looked to Xue Yahui who had requested to have a personal guard. "I came here to tell you

about the request you wanted. To have a loyal guard beside you?" Lord Gang didn't know why his little

brother would need one when he was skillful enough to fight.

"En, I wanted to see if I can have a personal guard." Xue Yahui wasn't sure if Lord Gang would allow it

or not.

Lord Gang didn't know why, but there was always a reason. He used to have a loyal guard by his side

who was now retired and living with his family somewhere in the feline clan with his own villa. "I'll have

the event planned tomorrow. Go to the training grounds tomorrow and it will be held there."

Xue Yahui didn't think that his brother-in-law would allow it, but now he couldn't go back. He had to go

tomorrow to the training grounds and see if there will be anyone who he will meet. "Thank you, Brother

Gang."

Fen Qin on the other hand was finished with her last resort. She had mixed every herb and medicine

together. Having the last antidote in her hands, the medicine was one of a kind and made with the

rarest herbs and plants. "Let's hope that this works."

Pulling a cloth off a cage, there was a little bird that had the man made poison similar to The Tomb

Spite Poison. Making the bird take a small drop of the antidote, Fen Qin waited to see what would novelbin

happen to the bird.
