Chapter 10 She’s Fired
In the evening, a Rolls–Royce pulled over slowly in front of the Lewis house.
The housekeeper ushered Boris into the house.
“Mr. Boris, you’re back.” Carrier greeted him and informed him, “Old Mr. Lewis is waiting for you in the study upstairs. He’s very angry. I guess that’s because he saw the insults to the young madam on the Internet.”
Boris corrected Carrier, “She is not your young madam anymore. I had divorced her.”
Carrier opened her mouth in embarrassment. In fact, she really liked Ziana, who was beautiful and kind, much better than Vivi.
Boris went upstairs without waiting for Carrier to say more. The door to the study was not closed, so he pushed it open and walked inside quietly.
“Hi, Grandpa.”
Zezili snorted heavily and turned the laptop to Boris. It was the long article in which Ziana was described as a vain woman pretending to be rich.
“My granddaughter–in–law is now on the trending topic. It’s not good for her. You settle it for her.”
Boris collected himself and reminded Zezili, “Grandpa, we had been divorced, and I have no obligation to help her.”
“Divorced? Do I agree to your divorce?” Zezili asked with a sneer, “Have you asked me for my opinion?”
Boris was irritated, but he stifled his anger and said, “When I got married, you didn’t ask for my
opinion!”
“Is your opinion important?” Zezili said quietly, “It’s a blessing that Ziana took a fancy to you. married you. You should be grateful for that. Instead, you’re not contented with your marriage. What opinion do you have?”
Boris once again doubted whether he was a Lewis.
Was Ziana actually Zezili’s granddaughter?
Why did his grandfather unconditionally believe and support Ziana no matter what happened during the past three years? Zezili was his grandfather, not Ziana’s.

Boris tugged at his tie and sat down across from Zezili. “Grandpa, what is Ziana’s background? Why do you always side with her?”
“She is my granddaughter–in–law. Who else should I side with?” Zezili warned him seriously, “I
advise you to treat her better, or you will regret it in the future.”
Boris found it absurd.
Why would he regret it?
He didn’t like Ziana!
Boris went straight to the point. “I’m talking about her background. Some people appear…”
“Why do you ask me about your own wife?” Zezili interrupted him and snorted sullenly. “How unusual! You finally want to know more about your wife after marrying her for several years.
Boris rubbed his forehead helplessly. “Grandpa…”
“Don’t ask me. If you’re so curious, you can investigate it yourself.” Zezili thought of something and said in a deep voice, “That Vivi can only enter our family over my dead body. I have only one granddaughter–in–law, and that’s Ziana!”
Zezili was firm about that at the mention of Vivi.
If it weren’t for Zezili, Boris would have wedded Vivi long ago.
Boris pressed his lips and said indifferently, “I got it. Grandpa. If you don’t have anything else to say, I’ll leave first and won’t disturb your rest.”
Zezili waved at him. When Boris turned to leave, Zezili stopped him. “Ziana posted a video. Come
and watch it.”
Boris said inwardly, “What does Ziana’s video have to do with me? I don’t want to watch it at all!”
Boris turned sullen, but he forced himself to go to the desk for the sake of his grandfather.
Zezili instructed him, “I can’t watch this video. Hurry up. Fix it for me now.”
Only then did Boris realize that he had to pay to watch the video.

The slender woman was facing him sideways with a beautiful angle. It was dark outside the window, and the light and shadow inside the car were romantic. She was shining in the dark.

Boris’s throat went dry. When he subconsciously wanted to watch it again, he was pushed away.
