Chapter 14 – A Lesson Given

I lost it completely. What the hell runs through the head of someone when they completely deliberately
wear something that can hurt any wolf if they come in contact with it. I mean, it is not like we do not
already have a weapon on us, because we do. For fuck sake we have claws and within seconds we
can let out a beast 1000 tines worse than claws. And apparently, it wasn’t the first time, the doctor saw
scars or wounds after something like this. 1
I had to get out of there, am already on edge from Laura trying so hard to avoid me. But knowing
someone hurt her and left a permanent scar on her, because of me. I couldn’t handle it. It’s no wonder
that she hates me. I mindlinked Mark to go drive her home. I only just made it to the forest before my
anger got so intense that Shadow forced the shift and ran. In my wolf-form, I mindlinked some warriors
to go pick up Danielle and lock her in the cells. I wasn’t going to let her walk unpunished for this.
Shadow ran around in the forest for a few hours. When he had enough he ran towards the cells. When
we got there I shifted and found some sweatpants in one of the hiding spots. I entered the cells and
could already hear her. I nodded to the warriors inside.
“How long has she been screaming?” I ask them
“Since she got here. Nothing was done to her” I nod my head and walk towards her cell.
“Liam! Baby you came! They locked me in here for no reason.” I look at her feeling disgusted
“For no reason you say?”
“Yes, please help me, Liam.” She touched the bars clearly forgetting they are of silver and she hisses.
“It hurt, doesn’t it.
“Liam, Baby, please.” I put the key in the lock and hold on to one of the bars and open the door. not
caring that the silver burns the skin inside my hand. Danielle smiles at me thinking that she is being
saved. She couldn’t be more wrong.
I grab her hair and drag her through the dungeon to a soundproof room, where I throw her roughly onto
the floor and lock the door. She looks at me with big eyes and I walk toward her taking her hand, I saw
her slap Laura with.
“Which claw?” I ask and from the look in her eyes, she knows exactly what I am asking.
“WHICH CLAW DANIELLE?” She shakes but closes her fingers in her hand except for one.
“Show me, now.” She breathes heavily but lets the claw out. I look at it and before she can react I grab
a hold of it and pull it from her finger. She screams in pain. Wolfs heal from most things even wolfbane,
but not silver or if a part of the body is removed.

“Any other of your claws that are like this one?” I ask and she shakes her head tears running over her
face and blood coming from her finger.
“Any other claws Danielle?” I ask in my king’s voice, knowing she can’t lie if I do. She tries to shake her
head but her other hand is raised to me with a pointed claw already out. I snarl at her and remove it
from her hand as well. Earning another painful scream.

I drop her to the floor. Looking at her pathetic behavior. I bend down grab her by the arm and drag her
out of the dungeon. Pulling her all the way until we are outside the official packhouse. Members of the
pack come out of their houses to see what is going on. When a lot of wolves have gathered I drop the
sobbing Danielle to the ground and say in a loud voice.
“Everyone in the pack knows that I almost 2 months ago found a lonely pregnant she-wolf in the forest.
Most of you have met her. And I know that she has been nothing but friendly and caring towards any of
you. But 3 days ago, Danielle here thought that she was in her right to try stake a claim over ME.”
Several members gasped.
“With that, she hit Miss Perl. And left a permanent scar on her face because Danielle has been hiding
silver with her nail polish on 2 claws. If I see or hear of anyone carrying silver on them like this that
body part will violently be removed.” I hold up one of Danielle’s hands showing everyone her bloody
hand. The wounds have healed so she no longer bleeds. But she will forever be missing 2 claws.
“I will not, AND I MEAN I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO CARRY SILVER WITH THE ONE
PURPOSE TO COURSE HARM TO OTHER MEMBERS. And if anyone else is doing so at this
moment I strongly suggest you get rid of it.”
I bend down to Danielle until my lips are close to her ear And whisper. “Don’t ever come close to me or
Miss Perl again. And if you ever try to hurt anyone again, you will pay with your life.”
I push her roughly from me again and begin to leave. Many ask me if Laura is okay. I am a bit surprised
so many already know her, and clearly care about her. I ensure them she is okay and they calm down.
And I walk home. I really hate that Laura got hurt because of me, it’s no wonder she doesn’t want to be
around me.
‘I miss talking with her.’ I tell Shadow. novelbin
‘Kali says her feelings are hurt.’I sigh.
‘I need to find a way to say sorry.’ I say and I can feel Shadow thinking.
Maybe we can make a nursery for her pups. She needs one anyway.’
‘That is a good idea.’ I will get mom to help me order the things she will need. Get the room painted a
decorated. Get mom to take her out for a day so she doesn’t notice.’
Sounds like a plan.’ Shadow hums.’
When I enter the house I go to find mom and talk with her. She says yes to help me, and also tells me
