Chapter 29 - The russian
Olivia POV
This day couldn’t get any worse, Lucas looks at me with anger in his eyes, he is giving me stupid tasks
to complete in record time as if I was a machine. He is clearly punishing me for going to the office.
Well, fuck him.
“What the fuck” – he says looking at me
“May I help you?”
“You are with him? Officially?” – Lucas asks
“I am sorry sir, but my personal life is private” – I say
“Private my ass, I am looking at the fucking photos of you two together, you kissing him as if you were
a fucking slut”
I say nothing but my head is spinning. Are the photos already out an about? I knew he was quite
famous but I didn’t know was this much.
“You were kissing him in front of your workplace, you should be ashamed of yourself, you look like one
of his sluts” – He says, and that is it for me.
“Excuse me” – I say getting up and walking out of the office
“I didn’t say you were excused” – Lucas says and I stop in front of the door with my hands crossed in
front of my chest.
I turn around looking at him in defiance, he can’t control my personal life and he is crossing the line.
Lucas gets up and walks towards me, I give two steps back crashing my back against the door and I
feel him pressing his body against mine and putting both his hands against the wall. I turn my head to
the side so I don’t have to face him.
“I always knew you were a slut, but obviously you had to go and fuck him didn’t you? But mark my
words Olivia, you will be fucking mine, I will have you and Raphael will see me fucking you”
I breathe hard and I don’t know where this is coming from but I kick him in the balls and as he steps
back I open the door and walk outside to the corridor full of students and Michael. Looking at me
worried.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes, please take me home?” – I ask him
“Yeah, I’ll just grab your stuff, wait here” – he says walking inside the office, not even one minute later
he was out with all of my stuff. Michael walks next to me towards the back SUV waiting for me in the
front of NYU.
Michael must’ve called the driver while inside the office. We get in and I put my feet on top of the seat
and hug my legs looking outside of the window while tears fall down my face.
We get home and I walk straight into the bathroom inside our bedroom and I hear Michael outside
“Olivia are you okay?”
“Yeah yeah I am fine, I am just going to have a bath”
“I need to go out, but there are four security guards outside”
“Okay” – I say.
I turn the taps on filling up the bath, I throw a bath bomb and undress. I get inside and automatically my
body relaxes with the hot water around me.
I call Raphael in the middle of my bath
“What?” – I hear his sexy and pissed off voice
“Raphael? It’s late, are you coming home for dinner?”
“Olivia, sorry yeah, give me one hour” – he says
“Okay, I will see you then” – and we hang up and I allow myself to relax a little bit more.
I think I’ve fallen asleep because I wake up to shooting again.
Fuck fuck, I get out of the bath wrapping a towel around my body and I sit on a corner with the door
locked.
“Sweetheart you can come out, I am not going to hurt you”
I get up, I know better than to upset whoever is in the bedroom. I open the door and I see a tall
handsome man looking at me.
He reminds me of the guy Raphael killed, the Russian guy. Shit. He is Russian. What the fuck does he
want with me?
“You can come out love, I am not going to touch you, even if you ask me to, I am not my father”
I let out a gasp. I am shaking, where is Raphael? And where are the security guards?
“What do you want from me?”
“I will be straight with you, I want you to break Raphael’s heart”
“No” - say with tears filling up my eyes
“It’s either that or he dies” – the Russian says novelbin
I shake my head
“This is not a negotiation my love” – he says and I keep shaking my head.
“I can’t do that, he will know I am lying” – I let out
“You might have a point there” – he says and I take a deep breath in relief.
“I will have to take you with me then” – I open my eyes wide when he says that
“No, please don’t”
“Go get dressed Love, it’s either that or he dies, do as you are told and no harm will come to you or
him”
I nod my head and I walk into the dressing room with him following me
“I need some privacy please”
“You can get dressed in front of me, you are not my type” – he says
I don’t know what he means by that but I pick up some jeans, underwear and one of Raphael’s
jumpers. I want to have something of his with me.
I get dressed and walk towards the guy.
“I will have you escorted to my car outside and my driver will take you to my hotel room” – he says and
I nod my head walking out of the bedroom seeing that one of his men was one of Raphael’s security
guards. He looks at me and smiles.
I don’t know if I feel relieved of scared. I don’t know who he’s working for, so I keep my head down and
I walk towards the lift and then to the car.
I see Raphael’s SUV arriving but he can’t see me through the tinted windows. I allow tears to fall down
my face and I hug my legs against my chest and I start sobbing. I look outside of the window and I see
NY. This beautiful city.
We arrive to a luxury hotel and the door is opened from the outside for me, it’s the same guard and he
winks at me. I keep my serous face and I clean the tears from my face with the jumper’s sleeve.
I’m guided to a bid double room with a bathroom and the guard stays inside with me.
“Olivia” – he says while I turn to look at him
“I will get you out of here” – he says
I just nod my head. I don’t want to get false hopes and end up being in Russia.
I sit on the end of the bed and I see him pressing something against his ear.
“Raphael is home and he knows you are missing”
I look at him
“He is trying to negotiate your release” – he says after 10 min of silence.
“Is he okay?” – I ask
He nods his head still paying attention to what is being said on his ear.
“The boss is coming for you” – he says
“What boss?”
He smiles and looks at me
“The one you want to come and rescue you”
I take a deep breath and I look out of the window hugging my own body.
