“Something terrible happened to Mother, Harvey! Someone told us to give you this letter. If you don‘t do as the letter says, they‘ll kill her!” Mandy said, panicked. She snatched the letter from Simon and promptly handed it to

Harvey.

Inside was a picture of Lilian bound tightly to a chair.

Behind her, a bustling place with bright lights could be seen.

Harvey squinted, studying some of the iconic buildings present in the picture.

“Las Vegas?!”

“That‘s right?” Mandy exclaimed, and pointed at the words in the letter.

“They said that they‘ll kill Mother if you don’t show up to Las Vegas alone in three days!”

“What should we do, Harvey?”

Mandy was now the head of the ninth branch within the Jean family, but even so, her newly attained prestige was still not enough to keep her calm under such circumstances.

After all, this was her own mother they were talking about!

Harvey clenched the letter tightly and studied the handwriting, trying to decipher wh

penmanship belonged to.

“I know who did this,” he said after a while, his voice calm.

“Don‘t worry, everyone. I‘ll go there and get Mom back.”

It was true that after Lilian arrived at Mordu, she

kept trying to kick Harvey out of the family...

But the fact of the matter was, she was still

Mandy‘s mother.

Since Harvey was the one who caused this tragedy, albeit indirectly he couldn‘t just stand by and watch either.

Mandy regained her composure slightly after hearing Harvey‘s words. She then added quietly, “What if we make use of the Jean family‘s powers as well, Harvey? If we do that, it‘ll be easy to find Mother.”

“I can come with you to Las Vegas,

“I can‘t just watch my own mother suffer!”

Harvey wanted to convince her otherwise, but seeing how anxious Mandy was, he couldn‘t help but sigh and relent.

“Fine. You can come with me.“

As he spoke, he took out his phone and sent a few messages to several people.

Early in the next morning, a private plane landed steadily at Las Vegas International Airport. The weather was bright and sunny.

This was a private plane owned by the Jean family, one of the assets that Mandy was able to mobilize.

When the plane landed, a Mercedes Benz G showed up outside the airport without a sound.
