Melanie no longer used the president’s exclusive elevator. Instead, she went to the office five ninutes early every day and used the common elevator with the ordinary employees.

On Cedric’s birthday, Melanie went to the parking lot to wait for Eugene after work because they agreed to go there together. However, Eugene never came.

But no one was inside. Melanie’s face was glum as she asked another colleague who was still working overtime, “Where is Eugene?”
The colleague was stunned for a moment. “Mr. Scott left with Ms. Shaw.”
