Chapter 6: MOTEL CREW

Chapter 6: MOTEL CREW

Back in the hotel. Tolu, Ayo and Gboyega sit outside thinking of a way to get to get back. Gboyega gets

tired of waiting and confronts Tolu.

"What do we do now leader?" Gboyega talks in a very sarcastic manner, Tolu stressed by everything

still has hope that something will turn up.

"Wait for Richard and Ngozi, I'm sure they'll turn up." She says with hope, Gboyega is already tired of

Tolu's attitude, he is sick of waiting for them and he definitely is scared about what the outcome of this

mission might be.

"Trust me when I say they aren't turning up, those two will find a way back home. They can take care of novelbin

themselves." Gboyega voice gets higher, Tolu tries to calm him down.

"We can't just....." Gboyega interrupts her.

"Listen up, you're going to need to stop this hero bullshit attitude and face facts! We can't save Papa

right now so why don't you call some officers to come pick us up." Gboyega says and walks back into

the motel, Ayo who has been watching both of them argue chuckles, Tolu moves closer to him.

"What's his deal?" Tolu is confused cause Chong told her that Gboyega was the type of person that

was ready to explore and go on different adventures.

"I know you're worried about Papa but you can't just force people to do what they don't want to do." Ayo

gently tells her, Tolu moves to a fridge that has snack bar, she pays and gets a chocolate bar.

"But aren't you worried about him?" She says and offers him a chocolate bar as she talks but he rejects

it.

"I'm scared, I and Papa were really close and I'm just hoping he gives me a call and let us know that he

is fine." Ayo who has been trying to hide how he feels starts getting really scared, while he lived with

Papa he knew that he had travelled in different mysterious ways but not like this.

"Then do something Ayo, I've heard that you can do so many things with your cybernetic." Tolu wasn't

lying, Ayo had access to different powers, he could easily recharge the energy of the car with one

touch of his powers or turn his legs to rocket launcher and so much more but a part of him keeps

reminding him not to.

"I can't, my powers have some issues just call someone to pick us up.

Gboyega isn't enjoying this experience and I'm about to lose it too." Ayo says and walks out, Tolu is

also stressed about being in here but she doesn't want to accept defeat by calling Deji. Her phone

rings, she checks the caller and sees it's Dayo calling her at first she puts the phone back in her

pocket.

"I can find a way out of here by myself." But her thoughts quickly shifts to Gboyega, she brings out her

phone and picks the call.

"Hi Dayo." She says knowing she'll forever regret this.

Back in the motel, a red Toyota Corolla car parks in front of the hotel. Tolu rushes to call the others.

"Let's go guys!" She shouts out loud, she moves to the passenger seat and stares at Dayo who's

driving, he pats her on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry and I promise not to tell anyone about this." Dayo said calmly.

"It always gets better." Tolu says to herself praying that they get better outcomes tomorrow.

That night, In Papa's house. Ngozi knocks on Ayo door, he opens it and is shocked to see her.

"What a pleasant surprise." Ayo says, she chuckles and responds in a very low tone.

"Listen, I know we all love Papa but something about the man we saw didn't feel right. It seemed like

he was scared of Papa, maybe by tomorrow you could do some digging."

She says and walks out, Ayo isn't worried he saw Papa has his hero and felt all this will blow away by

tomorrow morning.

In the middle of a forest, a red shrine is found in it and the man who was calling Papa's name in the

middle of the forest is found meditating inside. This man name was Oloogun and unlike other

Supernaturals who get their powers naturally he relied on rituals and the power of the gods. He was

part of a club called the "Trials", another black man wearing a all blue coloured cloth with bear furs

suddenly appear in front of him, this man was Odi a Igbo man, he and Oloogun don't always get along.

"Where's Papa, Oloogun?" Odi talks in a very calm manner but is also trying to drive Oloogun nuts

knowing already that he has failed.

"I'm trying to find him." Oloogun tried his best to respond in a very calm manner, Odi stares at Odi and

laughs.

"Just don't fail like your son failed you." Odi says mockingly, Oloogun gets up angered by what Odi

says a huge crack of lightning opens from the sky. A woman quickly comes in and pushes Oloogun.

"Stop!" The ground shaked as she talks, she gently lands on the ground. This lady wore a long black

ribe, her name was Fa'izah a Hausa woman and is the leader of the Trials. Oloogun and Odi feared her

cause she had immense powers.

"Any luck on finding Papa." She says, her eyeballs glow in a very blue colour as she talks.

"No, I'll find........." Oloogun shivered as he responds, she interrupts him.

"Go to his house Oloogun before we take other steps." She said firmly pointing to the door.

Oloogun rushes out of the shrine, waiting for him is his son Abayo, Oloogun doesn't really care about

the wellbeing of his son cause his son is a slow learner and he considers him a failure.

"We have to go now rat, we have places to be to." Oloogun says boldly
