Chapter 15: Mary
I felt Nikolai put something lightweight and cold against my throat. Was this a collar? I questioned in my mind. Was this something Nikolai was “gifting” me to mark me as his.blood slave? I knew Nikolai could hear my thoughts, but he just let out a low throaty chuckle and proceeded to step away from me, the moment he stepped away I felt myself missing the comfort of his body against mine.

“Nikolai,” I whispered, looking up at the man who’d given me back something so precious to me. “I cannot thank you enough. This… this is…” I trailed off, unable to finish my sentence, instead I felt myself walking towards Nikolai and throwing my arms around his waist. He stiffened for a moment before reciprocating the hug, wrapping me around the waist and pulling me in tightly. I lifted my face and looked up to him. “I seriously cannot thank you enough.”
