Chapter 12 Who Has Been Indulging You?
In fact, with only a bit of carefulness, Cordelia could see that Eva fell into Elijah’s arms on purpose.
But at that chaotic moment, she found herself ridiculous and redundant. Hence, she ran away without a
second of hesitation.
Ironically, she was still worried about Elijah while he was already drunk with another woman in his
arms.
She stamped on the accelerator all the way, tears rolling down. her cheeks.
She thought, “Shouldn’t I have known earlier? Why was I still fantasizing? How stupid!”
However, what she didn’t expect was that the woman stepping between her and Elijah even dared to
confront her before she said anything.
In the café, Cordelia and Eva sat opposite each other.
Eva sat in a wheelchair, looking at Cordelia with contempt.
Cordelia checked the time frequently, for she had an important client to meet in a while.

are nothing more than a mistress who messes with others’ marriages.”
Eva glared at her angrily. “Stop acting like it is still fine between you and him. You are already
considering a divorce, aren’t you? However, you’ve irritated me today. I will not let you get what you
want. You’ll never take away any of Elijah’s property.”
Cordelia smiled disdainfully. “Hope you have the capability.”
Suddenly, Eva’s expression changed as she glanced out the window.
She picked up the coffee cup before Cordelia, poured it out on herself, and quickly put it back.
Cordelia watched her in confusion. The next moment, Elijah’s voice came from behind her.
“Cordelia, why are you with Eva?”
So this was why she did all that.
She raised her eyebrows and stared at Eva with a sarcastic smile.

“You don’t need to explain to her,” Elijah said in a cold tone.

“What happened to your clothes?” Elijah asked with concern the moment he saw a few drops of coffee
on her white shirt.
At this moment, Cordelia understood everything.
Eva was trying to set her up, but she failed to see that she had already finished the coffee. Therefore,
she could only end up in failure by pouring out a few drops.
It seemed this scheming bitch was not in luck today!
Eva lowered her head and whispered, “I accidentally spilled the
coffee.”
It puzzled him when he saw the juice in front of her, but he didn’t ask any further.
He turned to look at Cordelia. “I will explain to you what happened that night. Now I have to send Eva
back to the hospital.”
With too much anger accumulated in her heart, Cordelia burst into a scornful laugh. She looked at
Elijah indifferently. “You don’t have to take turns to provoke me. I know what kind of garbage you two

Did Elijah really think she would accept his charity when he said he would explain to her in person?
However, just as she walked out of the café, she felt a big powerful hand grabbing her arm.
She turned around and glared at the man behind her. “Mr. Hansen, I don’t want to quarrel with you in
the street!”
Elijah examined her with deep and sharp eyes.
“You’ve been grumpy lately. Who’s been indulging you? Making you so bad-tempered like this?”
Was he the same man whose name she used to murmur when she was drunk?
