Why Me

Chapter 2: Part 2

*Kendall's pov*

I'm Kendall Jen, I'm a 17 year old normal girl. I live with my mom and dad and my sister Kylie. We have novelbin

a normal size house I guess, we had to down size a few years back because money was tight. Since I

was fourteen the money problem was big. We would go meals without eating so we could pay the bills,

and since we moved we only have to skip meals once in a while or when my dad loses his job or my

mom doesn't get paid on time.

All this is normal to me but to others, they worry. Especially my best friend Taylor. I've known her since I

was born because her mom and my mom had us on the same day and we always hung out with each

other. When Taylor found out that money was tight her parents said I could sleep over anytime and

what theirs is mine so when I had to skip meals daily they would let me eat at their house along with my

family.

They didn't have to do that but they wanted to. They offered to help pay the bills but my parents could

never let them do that because they were tight on money too. Once in a while we would find money in

an envelope on the front porch and we always knew it was from them but they denied it every time.

With the money problem, I never had a lot. I have two pairs of jeans and two pairs of shorts and like 10

shirts. If something doesn't fit and I need new clothes I try to go to the cheapest place in town which is

goodwill. I hope that one day I can get a good paying job where my family never has to worry again.

Once I did think about the whole sex for money thing but I don't fly that way and I'm too shy for that, so

I just have to stay with the fast food job I have now.

Tomorrow is school and I have to present an assignment I did, in front of the class and that scares me

too death because I stutter when I'm nervous and the class I'm doing it in has a shit load of jocks and

popular kids. They like to make fun of me for it. People say to ignore them but that's hard when it

happens almost every day and with people that are stronger and bigger than me. I"m praying I can get

through it fast so I don't have to hear them bully me, wish me luck.
